 As the title says, I've seen some of people with N7 1000+ or around 1000 bringing their freshly promoted lv1 characters on GOLD match.

If some low N7 people did this, they will usually get insta-kicked by other people, 
but when high ranking people do this, people don't kick them because part of their thoughts are "well, he/she obviously played a lot, thus will know how to play and not die."

But as soon as the match starts, they always die on every single wave and usually they 'rage quit' because the match is hard to handle.

The results have been the same whether they were carrying good weapons and equipments or not. (At least for the people I saw)
So, be patient and level up your character a bit by playing on bronze and silver first, please.
(Unless you're really sure of your skills.)

I agree. Sure, some people are good enough to do that, but other players in the lobby don't know that and it's a risk most aren't willing to take.

That, or they actually AREN'T good enough and end up dying.

The results have been always the same whether they were carrying level X weapons and V gears or not.

With decent level weapons I can see people using lvl 1s in silver okay. I wouldnt say that the xp difference is big enough that its worth attempting gold ever with lvl 1s. Hell, I struggle on gold with lvl 20s sometimes. It'll be mostly dillusion about how good they are tbh. High N7 =/= High skill level.

Don't need too. At level 1 I'll play w/g/g and grab all the things and get the same creds and xp as an u/u/s sooooooooo nope still bringing lvl 1s with me

I prefer going to Silver when leveling up, but then again I'm not top score material.

Thanks for agreeing with me. I'm sure some people would handle it well but at least the people I saw were unfourtunatley not..

Bologna. I took a level 8 Destroyer on a gold match. My high level Scorpion with Cryo 4 staggered the crap out of mobs and my grenades did just fine stripping shields. We had a ton of fire power and one guy with AP IV. I ran along behind the pack and did my part. Full extraction.

I do it all the time...

Gold is like Silver compared to Platinum.

The only class I don't do it on is Vanguards... because they suck at level 1.

I have to agree, at rank 1 you really are a drag to the team no matter how good your gear or skill is when compared to a character even just a few ranks higher. It's so easy to pop off and do a quick silver or even bronze match to level up just enough to have some ability to help the 3 other players.

It's not too bad for 1, I guess, you're still making it harder on people you don't know than if you brought something a bit higher, but I've been in lobbies recently with 2 at rank 1 and another at a rank below 15. Obviously you can start kicking, but this then just makes the lobby fiddling take an age. Much easier just to pop off to another metal level for a match or 2.

Level 1 characters should never be on gold/platinum, no matter what.
If you think you´re so great to do this, please, invite your friends and go have some fun on a private match.

Level 1 Characters are viable on gold if you have level X weapons...yes they still won't be that good and myself personally won't bring them into a game until I have it up to at least 5 or 6.

I bring level 5's into Platinum and do fine...normally have higher scores then horrible kids using level 20's.

My favorite thing is when they accuse you of cheating afterwards. I gave up trying to explain that a Harrier with an Assault Rifle Amp III and Inferno Ammo IV will make any character of any level "viable" on Gold.

.... wow. honestly I should be saying the same thing about ANYONE who plays gold who isn't N7 3K +, simply because thats around the N7 where people have 5/5/5/5 consumables and decent enough level rare weapons.

So if I can't level my level 1s in gold you expect me to play silver huh? Hmm... Honestly most people I carry with my level 1 in gold need to take they're non promoting level 20 azzes back to silver and play there. I play just fine on any class with any weapon on any level in gold. The people you see attempting and failing are just nubs expecting to be carried because they think they have a "high" N7.

Lemme ask this, do you think the same should apply to a 5K N7, or a 10K N7, or a 15K N7, or a 20K N7? Because right now there are only ~30 people above 10K N7 (Xbox) and besides the ones that obviously glitch, they would literaly carry you and the rest of the crap azz level 20s through an ENTIRE gold game on they're own.

How is he a burden to the team if he is headshotting everything?

Uh, Level 8 =/= Level 1? Like, not even close. Level 8 gives you enough points to give yourself some relevant abilities, while Level 1 makes you rely SOLELY on weapons and skill. For a very few people, that is enough. For most, it is not. I had someone on my friends list who CARRIED myself and a couple of other level 1's on a Gold match a couple of times. He was incredible. But that was the only time I've seen it done "in person."

Strange I've completed gold before with a team of 3 level 1s plus 1 level 12....

Especially with a Krogan Soldier + Harrier VIII - not that much weaker than a level 20, except for the Incendiary Grenades.

Because his DPS and survivabilty will be ****** poor.
I'd rather have a good lvl 20 then a godly lvl 1.
