I took my level 1 Demolisher into U/U/G with 2 of mah friends and a random. I scored third with 96,000 points. My N7 is also 5400+... I would never do this in a completely public lobby because of ****s like you.

My, my.
How many i-carry-everyone-with-lvl1-on gold in this thread.
It's almost like infestation of some sort.
Kinda nice that i don't have to deal with people like this, because i kick every lvl 1 in gold pugs, no matter the N7 rating or weapon load-out.
This is all about managing risks -- solid lvl 20 with solid, but not great load-out is simple less risky than some lvl1 hotshot with maxed out rares.

I used to feel this way too. Until I became a competent player.

It's all in the loadout and the experience.

All players in pugs are risky. Here is very good example of a typical pug game:

See when this happens I give people the benefit of the doubt and blame it all on lag. But no, not here, because those f**** hit ready again when we were back in the lobby. No sane person would do that if he was having some insane lag.

Risky, yes.
But not equally risky, that's the main thing.

Ah, I don't know, some level 20's often skip shields entirely and don't take any consumables to compensate for that. A level 1 with level IV consumables for shields and weapons is up to something serious.

Firebase Dagger, Cerberus, and was this a week or two ago? If so, you're welcome. <3

During the promotion weekends, I'll go down to silver just so I can go down and not feel overpowered with a 20. It's kind of refreshing too. Certain builds and styles of play people can do well on gold I can imagine, esp. if they bring consumable equipment, with certain classes, with certain weapons, and good mods. I find it hard to trust though due to my history with under 10 gold players, I'd renegade interrupt the lobby in that case.

I see what you mean, but do people notice that all the other 3 characters have over 50 assists? It's not about the killing, it's about the teamwork. Simply getting the kill gets you more points, the point system as it is just isn't a good measure anymore.

Don't tell me what to do, I can bring my level 1 wherever I want.

That is all that needs to be said.

Yep, agree totally.

Mind you, i wish some off them would give silver a miss; they not always that flash at L1. And because they think they are there for a quick level up, it turns into more of a leeching exercise. They turn up without gear, and apparently forgot their missles and medigel. Real team, players.

Shudder to think what they're like in Gold/Plat.

What if we don't play silver/bronze because it feels too easy? We are in our comfort zone in gold, and if you don't like us playing level 1's, set it to private.

I've let a friend join me with a level 1 Vorcha.

We ended up playing Firebase White/Geth, so I guess that's a bit more excusable.

Either way, he was fine.

I know how scoring system works and can spot a good player without looking at his score. So trust me I can see when somebody plays a supportive role well. This game however was practically a solo run starting from wave 8 and I thinks one of those adepts was a furi.

If you have a good manifest you can dominate gold no matter the class/level. Level 1 Reegar Kroguard for example :o

Oh wow, this has turned into an e-peen contest rather quickly, hasn't it? All those people showing up to declare that they're most certainly awesome enough to top the score board with their lvl 1 characters, probably by 100k at least, too. (Even though I admit, those who actually said they were doing so on FBWGG made me laugh. Fine, you can bring your lvl 1s there, but I doubt the OP was talking about that setting.)

Yes, sure there are definitely lots of very skilled players out there who have no problems on gold with their newly promoted characters, but I'm sure that there are far more who do have problems and completely rely on their team to carry them to quickly level up, because they just can't be bothered to play one, maybe two games on silver first.

In a PUG I find that rather arrogant and so I will kick any high ranking N7s with a lvl 1 character in my gold lobbies. If that person is a friend or says something over the mic to make sure it's ok to bring this character, that's different, but other than that it's a no go for me.

It wasn't a e-peen contest? Sorry, my bad. Anyway, how about putting it like this: don't play gold unless you are up for it.

E-peen contest? Sure, why not.

I hate why people think lvl20s are there to carry others when they are actually the ones being carried.

Just because i bring lvl1s, doesnt mean i am inferior or wanting to be carried. I am taking ****ing lvl4 consumables and lvlV gear. I have lower dps than that lvl20 guy with no consumables and lvl1 gear?

As if there are no lvl20 leechers in this game.

Here's the thing OP, this isn't applicable here.

Your on a forum for the game that has an unusually high concentraition of above average players who are the exception to this.

Everyone is free to bring level 1's to Gold, just as I am free to leave the lobby.

When you arent confident you can carry you will be uncomfortable with levels and N7s  Which is fine I sometimes kick too.  However n7 1500 level 1 with level x rares and ultra rares or n7 50 level 1 avenger. I 'll go with the 1500 guy everytime.  It is taxing on a lobby even with friends to have more than 1 low level or low n7 with poor loadout in the match though.

If you can out score 3 lv 20's with a lv 1 what's the problem?
