It was a better game, though choices still didn't feel like they mattered much to me.
Seeing the impact of my me1 choices in me2 prepared me for the same in me3, was surprised they went a little farther with how they did their small scene edits and cameo's.
Me:wait what? Did I import the wrong game?
They even adressed that in me3, how great was that?
Me2 still better though.

Mass effect 2 was better game than ME3 was , it took everything we did and made it matter and it had great side quest and you ACTUALLY felt like eveything you did ment something like ME3 was such dumbed down game **** ending aside ME3 was a really dumbed down game like I can't even call it an RPG.
yep,
it wasn't just the ending of me3 i didn't like. it was also the auto-dialogue and overall lack of content. you are right about it not being an RPG. its just a third person shooter to be honest

What are you talking about? After every mission a squadmate had something new to say, sometimes dialog wheel, sometimes they just said something with no wheel. Much better then saying nothing like in ME2 where all you had was 4-6 convos, then that was it, depsite the fact there was so many missions thus dialog lacking was very glarring, a issue Mass Effect and ME3 never had, I was always excited after completeing a mission in ME and ME3 to go chat up my squad because I always knew they would have new things to say, something that lacked in ME2. I don't have that excitment.
And in ME2 it was the same way, something new after missions generally. Once you used up the conversation in ME3 though, people would say "Not right now." or something to that effect, so it's the same problem but it's made worse because most of those conversations I HAVE NO CHOICE! I don't feel engaged. I feel like I'm watching a movie instead. Would've been awesome if during some of those conversations between squadmembers that Shepard could throw in an opinion or two.
Like during the Garrus/Vega chat, Shepard could chime in "I'm a bigger badass than either of you. I died, came back to life, then killed those bastards who killed me." Or during Garrus/Joker's comedy time Shepard could share his own joke or berate the two for not being at thier posts or something.
This lack of immersion is actually WORSE and could've been easily remedied through a line or two of extra Shep dialogue.

Okay, I've seen more than one person here say that ME3 was terrible, and I know exactly why they think that. It's because the ending wasn't the perfect ending they WANTED. Well, get over it. People who say ME and ME2 were good, but ME3 sucked are dumb imo, because ME2 and ME3 are almost the same game in terms of graphics and gameplay. The biggest difference is the ending and lack of collectors. I got news for the whiners. If you want a perfect ending, make the game yourself because "perfect" is subjective. With the Extended Cut, I personally think the endings are good. Very good, in fact. Choose destroy, though! Because, Shepard isn't done yet!

For me, ME2 was just a bridge that I had to go over to get to the continuity of the story that started in 1. I don't know, i just never got emotionally invested in ME2 storyline.

Oh, the reason we dislike it is because the ending isn't what we wanted. Oh ok. It of course isn't about how they made everything mean nothing at all, or that they changed the central problem throughout the series in the last ten minutes, introdcue new characters that subverts the entire franchise, relies on everyone being brain dead, and railroads the entire plot (I'm looking at you Human-Reaper thing. I destroyed you).
Ah... the sound of arrogance and denial.
