ME2>ME>>>>ME3.
ME3 is still a pretty good game, but it's the weakest of the three imo.

As for Jack, really, you think the best choice for a biotic is a deranged unstable whacko? A nuclear weapon might be powerful, but if you can't aim it it's a terrible weapon.

Ok. So...storywise:
-Shep had to/wanted to? Your choice.
-I agree with that one.
-
-Sometimes in stories characters die for no apparent reason. I read (as did we all i presume) where a character dies and I was like "Why? No! He could have saved her! He only needed to..." You get my point
-George R.R. Martin anyone? When you create sh!tloads of characters, you kill them off. Not everyone can live.
-
-No logical explanation here. So, i agree.
-
What I mean to say that it doesn't matter. If I want I can headcannon all of these little things you mention. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the game. I'm just saying that I don't feel angry anymore (and I did before. i really did). I played all the games and after all these years of being into it I made my peace with it and accepted it as it is. No use in anything else.
There was no choice in the 6 month waiting. The game starts at the end of that six months! I came out of Arrival going "Ok, we go to the Alliance, give them the low down, and get the ball rolling there since I'm Commander Motherf***ing Shepard!" But no, go to jail, do not pass go, wait for 6 months. <_<
Then with Legion, it's not like he forgot he's nothing but code! That's the entire point of the Geth! They don't have blueboxes so copying and pasting code will work! It's a fundamental property of his being. If I need to move a file from my hard drive to my flash drive, I don't forget that I can make a copy and they are both the same!
Killing off character is fine, but you need to craft it in a way that doesn't leave the player going "Why didn't they just do this simple thing?" If it isn't a simple out, then yeah, it works, but shooting the gun you have in your hands is a very simple thing to do for trained personnel and irks me.
I can understand where you are coming from though, and it's all good.

Sorry, none of those explanations carry water for me. Why would you even believe Cerberus was trying to do good at all? There's no reason to not assume they are lying about everything, and all your info about the Collectors comes from them. Even if it was pirates or Cerberus destroying colonies, the Alliance should be reacting, military organizations exist for the purpose of security. Also, regardless of how stupid you think the Catalyst is, resurrecting characters has been cliched and stupid since before video games existed. Killing and then resurrecting Shepard was stupid before ME3 came out.

Cerberus falls into the ends justify the means and they don't care about being evil as long as humanity comes out on top. Allowing the Collectors to do thier thing is against that, so you can trust them that far and not much further.
The Alliance was reacting, very slowly. Plus, you were dead and I don't think they would be too keen on allowing you to get to work after that.
Yes, it was kinda stupid, but it allowed the reconstruction and change class thing to happen so it falls under with the thermal clips thing. Plus, it didn't break suspension of disbelief.
If you wanted a biotic you can just point at an enemy, say kill, and watch the festivities? Then yeah. The same reason why you would let a Krogan out of a tank. Or an assassin on your ship. Or a thief. Or a mercenary that's not on YOUR dime.

I'd be hard pressed to pick which out of 1 & 2 is my favourite though as I love them both for different reasons, that would be like trying to pick a favourite child.
If I had to pick things from 3 that I thought were better though I would say the combat felt better in 3 and the items/weapons in 3 were handled better than in 2.....but that's about it.

I dunno how resurrection doesn't break suspension of disbelief. This is supposed to be science fiction not Dungeons & Dragons. I enjoy both, but I know the difference. A lot of the stupidity flows from this single issue as well. Even you admit it's "kind of stupid", and you're trying to argue in its favor. Seriously though, how does being dead for 2 years, and not just dead but blasted and explosively decompressed, and then somehow returning to life not break suspension of disbelief. Do you know what would happen to a person's brain tissue after being blasted, frozen, and explosively decompressed? There wouldn't be a mind left to resurrect.
Also, you want a Biotic you can be sure that, when you point them at the enemy, they won't turn around and kill you instead.

Unlike D&D, it's not that a priest mumbles some words and voila! You're alive again but with a hit to XP or something. No, this took 2 years of long hard work and tons of resources. That's the difference. Plus, rebuilding people seems to be a thing in certain works of SciFi.
Also, why would Jack kill you if you've proven to be anti-Cerberus? And still, you're arguement can be applied to just about anyone on your crew. Grunt. Zaeed. Thane. Samara/Morinth.

ME3 turned into a joke because it killed what strengths of its predecessors. It threw the plot into quagmire and relegated the characters to trivial EMS points.
