I friggin love Skyrim and I play that game alot but the DA series is a completely different animal and I don't want them to copy skyrim they should be their own identity. What I love about the DA series and bioware games in general is the emphasis on story and squad based combat.

I like Skyrim as much as the next guy, but ugh, please no. I don't want to have to do insane amounts of head-Rping while playing a Bioware game. The openness of the environment would be nice, though.

Apart from me, who would be just happy if DA2 team learned from the mistakes of DA2 and ME3...

no please do not make a  skyrim clone that would be just to darn easy and some people hated  skyrim{while i am one to say that i played it  and it hated it,  didnt sit well with me felt like it was just to bothersome. i mean the fights was great  but it just felt like we was to do something great and end up doing really nothing to stop the fighting between 2 sides being pushed into war by a outside army.

AdmiralDavidAnderson did not say that DA2 story was good just that it was better than Sykrim's. Now your opinion may differ which is your right.

I know he said that.  Something must be wrong with the Act 3 on my copy of DA2 if people think it is better than what Skyrim offers.

If Bioware went whole hog and made DA3 a Skyrim clone, the fan outrage would make the whole mage vs templar conflict look like a little league baseball game. It would be somewhat glorious but thats my dark, twisted side rearing its ugly head.

Nope, nope, nope. If I wanna muck around in Bethesda's sandbox, I'll go play Skyrim. If I want a more directed story and characters, I'll play DA3.  Design inspiration is one thing but there's no point in trying to beat Skyrim at its own game, so to speak.
