 Just unlocked the Fury and although I wasn't planning on using her, I thought I'd take her out for a quick spin and found she's a hell of a lot of fun, really dynamic feel and flow to her style. Sadly I'm now ditching 'Inia' my old Asari Justicar and welcoming to the fold 'Inia' the Fury (I try to keep just 2 in each class for at least a little focus and I love my Drell Adept too much for it to be him).

I've only been out and about with her a few times, so I definitely have lots to learn through play, but was wondering what weapons people find works with her for the rare occassion when you do want to use that instead of biotics? I love how differently she plays and how easily she deals with things like Phantoms & Banshees, but I also think I got too used to Pull on my Adepts for dealing with Guardians and kept fluffing up against them by attempting to use Throw, which doesn't create quite the same effect.... Is it fast firing guns like SMG that work best against Guardian shields, or slow and powerful like pistols?

I usually take my Hurricane, previously the Tempest X. With either, I'll use the Heat Sink and HVB. If I'm feeling lazy it's the Piranha... Cooldown on all of those is fine for me (184% with my Hurri III, 200% with the Tempest, 170% Piranha). Some will say the Acolyte, which is awesome when used right, but I don't often use it right!

Everyone I've played with who used her seemed to kick a good amount of ass. Well 90-96% at least. Can't wait to unlock her.

I don't really like Acolyte too much on her. Yes it strips shields in an instant, but I like to drain those shields for myself. 

Same here. I'm really not good with the Acolyte when things go pear-shaped, and sticking my SMG in  the enemy's face and giving them the full clip is much more satisfying.

I definitely want to keep her cooldowns at 200%, I was using the Locust, but could take out the Tempest to try.

I'm probbaly not using her right, as I was getting less performance than my Asari Vanguard. I equiped just the Harrier (I find the Hurricane to be ....well...... wangy....!)

Has anyone got any advice generally on the Fury?

Funny seeing this thread today as also "discovered" how fun she is yesterday. ( but I have had her unlocked for quite some time). It's the only biotics class I find fun.

I was using predator with ap mod and extended mag. Worked surprisingly well on gold. With rails and warp ammo.

You wouldn't have seen me, then - the Fury was by far the trickiest character for me to click with! I spent soooo many respec cards trying to get the right build for my playstyle... my disaster-prone Fury was a blight on every pug that got saddled with me until I got the feel for her. Micah3sixty's guide helped a lot, although he prefers 6/3/6/5/6 now - it's a more resilient build and the one I'm currently using.

I see that too, and it confuses me... but I guess it works for them... 

I used to carry the Paladin or Carnifex until I forced myself to figured out how to use the Acolyte... now I carry the Acolyte + ULM and Hurricane + ULM for 200% CD (at least ULM seems to work this way... )

I wish I could carry 2 HPs instead...

Yeah I won't lie, my percentages were made up. No empirical evidence at all there, I'm afraid.


I've seen a few like loaded up like that. Then again, I haven't come across a HUGE amount of them but a lot of the ones I did see played well and worked well with my AA to make some space magic happen. I've not hit the Gold yet though, so I'unno...

I've see a lot of Furys not using AF recently. I can't say I get that.

No no no no...NO. No Locust. You want a hard hitting weapon or a stagger weapon. And you want burst damage not sustained. Try Carnifex if you don't have high level UR's. 

You might be better off with a 6/6/6/4/4 for now, with your Carnifex V + ULM 1 to get 200% CD...

lol, yeah it wasn't really working for me, hence the post. When I try out a new class I tend to equip weapons that I've not really tried before, just to take the opportunity to experience them. 

I am running a 66644 build.

Equipped Paladin and Hurricane with ULM. High velocity barrel and AP mod. I play mid to close range and find this very effective for my play style

The "recommended" setup is actually 6/6/6/4/4 . Take a loook at the above mentioned video, which is available here to learn how to play her properly.

I don't have a Hurricane, I'm sure it'll be one of the last weapons I unlock, seeing as almost every character is advised to take it to optimise their build.....
