OK I will say 5 major elements i want:

1.Tactical combat

2.Immersive story, companions and dialoge with decision and cocnequence and then mentioning it in dialouge like in DAO

3.80% DAO 10%DA2 10%NEW STUFF

4.No returning companions as companions, only as cameos, returning companions can be really messed up with a different protagonist,i wouldn't want my romance to have an opprotunity to cheat my warden or hawke?

5.Bioware take your time and make an awesome DA game

I wish for nobody to expect it. - Too obvious.

Also let's get back to being able to choose Races for the PC shall we?

1. Personal combat, meaning that I get to control my character and order my companions around, because I when I Roleplay, I focus on one character. But I bet they won't do this.

2. Good story with decissions that matter

3. More exploration and variation in quests + multiple ways to do them

This is awesome news. I am so psyched. I was one of the few who really liked DA2, and Origins is easily one of my favorite games ever. Bring on DA3 baby.

No awesome button please? Bring back the realistic weapon swings, solid impacts and movements, it pulled me in far more than teleporting airborne rogues flailing at the air.

I would like to see some decions in the game that have a real impact on the world and the story. Actually I would prefer fewer choices that have a big impact than lot of choices that lead to almost no change.

Learn from previous mistakes ( both DA2 and ME3 ) and give us an amazing game.
Dragon age origins was pure art and I am so glad to know that the same team is returning!

A voiced main character and to be able to choose your race again. I want to feel as emotionally immersed in the game as I have in the Mass Effect series, something Dragon Age has never quite done for me yet. Get rid of the little icon in the dialogue wheel, it made it too easy to please everybody. Difficult choices, again it's something Dragon Age has only done once or twice per game for me. More in depth skill trees, DA2 felt really simple but this wouldn't be a deal breaker.

At the end of the day though I trust BioWare to put out a decent game and expect them to have learnt from mistakes in previous games. I'm hoping for the best DA game yet :D

First part, yes, but still funny. ;) Second part, I agree.

More than that, I know the debate over which was better DA:O or DA2 has been done to death, but I would like to think we can find a middle ground and still break some new depths with the next installment. I liked the graphic/artistic style of Origins, but the (patched, the initial bugs were AWFUL) combat of the sequel. I loved them both, though for very different reasons.

More than anything, maybe this sounds silly, but I REALLY want to know what happened to the Warden and Hawke. Yes, if Warden died or went thru Eluvian, those players know what happened, but mine did neither and all this mystery is driving me crazy. I would appreciate that being resolved, lol.

I also know that the more the game evolves and the story lengthens, it gets harder to tie in old characters. I don't know that I would want the same companions in the party (except maybe Varric, even tho his relationship with Hawke seems like it was meant to be pretty unique), but I definitely want to see some old faces make an appearance. Finally meeting Celene would be cool, too, and tying that all full circle with Ferelden. Is it sad that I really missed Ferelden? LOL.

Anyway, ENCHANTMENT!
Can we also get to see all the magic come back? :wizard:

Edit addendum: They already promised no more wave spawning/ninja drops, right? Cool.

Decisions that matter

These two are certainly near the top for me.

Since EA has dictated that multiplayer has to be included with all their games a Baldurs Gate Co-Op system I think would go great.   Please no wave mode "see how many Darkspawn you can slaughter and beat your friends" type of thing.

Took them long enough to confirm this game. I was really expecting a July-August reveal.

Yay! I'm oozing excitement out of my eyeballs!!

Things I'd love to have from the game:
1. A choice between pro-templar/pro-mage/"you're all nuts"(neutral) with gray areas and no clear-cut "bad guy" - unless it's someone else pulling the strings to cause the chaos.
2. Some form of origin stories. Especially those that include racial options.
3. More divergent choices a la Origins
4. Much more conversation-heavy relationships and romances
5. DAII decisions that potentially bite you in the rear
6. In a perfect world? About 10 more hours of gameplay than DAII.
7. Blood magic explored in more detail (it's powerful? show me. You can control minds? show me. Demons slowly creep past your defenses? show me.) and recognized by NPC's when you or companions use it.
8. Diverse locations to explore
9. Some kind of update on what the Grey Wardens are up to.
10. The chance to work with Justinia (if you're pro-mage) or assassinate her (if you're pro-Templar)

Decent combat, just don't do combat like dragon age 2 and they should be fine.

I want something with the same amazing depth, atmosphereand sense of scale as Bioware's old games, which I thought Origins captured pretty neatly but the sequel dropped the ball completely. I've vowed never to preorder a Bioware made game until they learn to live up to their promises so no preorder DLCs will work on me this time around.

I'm very excited about DA3. I hope Bioware will concentrate on what makes their games stand out: story and characters. I also hope they won't get too much "inspiration" from games like Skyrim.
