...you must be trollin'(don't take that too seriosly, I'm joking...mostly)

Not even joking.  The combat in DA:O made me want to gouge my eyes out.

I don't mind the protagonist being voiced, as I'm well tired of mute protagonists.  Been playing video games for 23 years, and the majority of that time was spent with mute leads.  I find the change of pace refreshing.

And the dialogue wheel was super clear.  Heart for flirting?  Broken heart for shutting someone down?  Angry red fist for fighting?  Blue angel halo for being a goody goody?  Anyone who thinks that wasn't clear or is somehow worse than numbered lines without any indication of tone must have a crazy worldview.

Silly, you forgot the forth Mabari warhound. And ofcourse, ser pounce a lot!

If I could have an entire Mabari pack instead of companions, I don't think I would be upset in the slightest.

I would pay cashmoney for Dragon Age: Mabari Warband.

Hurray :D

Anyway my wishlist is short:

1)Voiced protagonist
2)Great story like in origins and DA2.

Edit:
Ah third point, keep area reuse to the bare minimum thanks ^_^

Please please please please please DO NOT MAKE DA3 OPEN WORLD. Skyrim was a boring, buggy, overhyped, terrible mess of a game that I certainly didn't get immersed by and I don't think you should copy it.

Yes it sold well, but was that because of hype/advertising/high 'review' scores or what?

In regards to voicing the main character, I will be frank. You can either have optional races/origins or you can have a voiced main character. It's very difficult, not to mention time and money consuming to do both. Choose one or the other BSN.

There, that's my choice. That was easy. "Hmm, more customization and options, or a potentially bad VA who might not sound like I want my character to sound?".

10. The chance to work with Justinia (if you're pro-mage) or assassinate her (if you're pro-Templar)

Shouldn't it be the other way around? The only way this works is if the Chantry has to be involved in allowing the mages to be out of their influence, and I don't buy this at all.

At the end of Asunder, as Grand Enchanter Fiona is calling for the Circle mages to make a decision between independence or a return to the Chantry, she tells the mages that Justinia is a friend and aided them all in their escape from Val Royeaux.

Meanwhile, Lambert plans to march on Andoral's Reach with the expectation that within a few days' time the Chantry will have gotten rid of Justinia and elected a new Divine who will allow the Templars much more power.

Not everyone will have read Asunder, so perhaps it should either be ignored lore-wise, or covered in some kind of intro?

Hoping for better conversations/relationships than we had in DA2.  Though I am not averse ot old LIs returning.  I DO want Nathaniel Howe as a LI mind you!

Is there anyone fond of the idea of class creation?

Or is it just me?

Asunder seems like it will be pretty important to the events of DA:Inquisition, so no matter what my guess is that they'll explain the important parts in some kind of intro or codex entry.

Though if you're excited for the next game and not passionately against reading, I totally recommend it.  Image IPB

1. A meaningful story where MY choices matter. Both short and long term
2. Exploration. I miss that and i would hate to be running down corridors in a very linear game.
3. A combat that's closer to the one from DAO, also no ninjas that comes in waves
4. Voiced protagonist is for me quite important
5. The more customization the better really. I really want my character to feel like my character
6. Give me more character development and more interaction with them. You do great characters, let me actually spend time with them. Also banter between them is key. Make it feel like they have lives without me babysitting them

Hey finally a reason to traverse this primordeal ooze of a forum

The new engine pretty much covers most of my concerns, just make good on those plans & leaked info and i might actually pre-order this, with the proper incentive >__> none of that limited box edition bull, i'm not paying $20 extra for stuff that should've been a pre-order incentive

Don't FUBAR this again bioware >__>

Honestly, DA3 is me giving Bioware one last chance.

Don't get me wrong, their past few games have been great and successful GAMES. However, they have been horrible RPGS.

I started playing Bioware games when they came out with Kotor and the immersive storyline was beautiful. Since then I have played Jade Empire, Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate, Dragon Age:origins, and Mass Effect 1 with that same sense of emotional connection and beauty.

However their most recent games (ME2&3, DA2, SWTOR) have all felt like rushed rip-offs. Honestly they are breaking my heart with how they are moving away from the style of game I loved so dear.

So my wishlist for DA3 is that they return to their roots. Last chance to show me that this company can still make a decent RPG. If not there is always Obsidian's Project Eternity...

-NO teleportin/ninja enemies!
-Open areas to explore, no goddam narrow patchs that are like tubes. Compare DAO Ostagar into DA2 starting area.
-More options for characters to start, you want to be templar from the begining? Start the game from templar school. Want to be thief? Start the game from some random street as purse snatcher
-Game that ends properly. No ending that is just "Hey, so something happened after boss battle but we wont tell you!!!"
-No more "personal story that makes you care for your companions". DA2 sucked in it, when your brother/sister died at the start of the game I could care less, they were just random folk you got to know 5seconds ago, why would I as player care for them if I had not even seen them before. Or if you decide to go that way then give us change to get to know the characters properly, hell give us few hours intro stage or something. We know you can create good characters, so do it.
-More than just one place to explore, I mean the city. Give us the goddam world map to go to places that look different. Give us jungle, Volcano, NorthPole, anything else than just goddam boring one city that stays the same no matter how long time passes.
-Better compat, no more one button to win the battles, in DA2 you could win all the battles by just hitting R-button (this is on PC)
-More weapons, more armors, more legends that you explore, I'm sure there are more than just few of them, this isnt the first Age that is going, you know, so there are bound to be lot of legendary warriors and items to be found, modders do help but come on... Bioware dont sell us unfinished game.
-Give us new hero, I dont want to see Hawke anymore, or if he/she is there then as companion. Same with the Warden.
-Don't focus on the graphics too much, if it means the game will become tube runner like DA2 then F-U
-Make the PC version first in mind, then make port for consoles, yes yes you sell it most on xbox/ps3 but that also hinders the developing of the game most because you have to worry about how the poor little bastard of xbox can handle the game

If one would side with Justinia in that case, it strikes me as likely that she'll be a renegade and not actually the Divine.

Dear god plz give me back my traps, poison, and poltice abilities! My rouge isn't a rouge without them!
Let us play different races (like qunari! <3), and let us actually be able to have more conversations with our comrads like in DA:O. Bring back sumons as well as: blizard, tempest, and malestrom (I want the ultimate combo spell of doom dammit! >:D ) Oh yeah... this is a liitle less important but could you maybe not re-use the same map areas 50 times over this go-around, and maybe add some animal life for a little bit more realism? (like horses in front of carts instead of them magically appearing wherever your camp is xD)

Also please stop making enemies rain down from the sky... theres no strategy in that at all '>.> and please don't give us ability trees and then automatically assign us one that we can't get rid of... like the mind blast thing for the mage in DA2. I never used that tree and I couldn't get rid of it to get one I actually wanted to have, which was frustrating. And please... no more insane slash and hack moves... it's not mass effect we really don't need a vanguard fenris flying across the screen every 2 seconds :/

(btw, sorry for my terrible spelling)

She honestly might not be by the time DA: Inquisition begins. But I'd still want this:

10. The chance to work with Justinia (if you're pro-mage) or assassinate her (if you're pro-Templar)

Add more depth to the rpg part.
I want more control on my character evolution
A story behind each items, I can pick up to make me feel that they aren't just randomly generated items without soul.
More exploration and open space.

And I imagine you disagree with my preference for the templars to be the main villains?

What I want, nay need, is complexity.
Please Bioware, no more Alriks or Tarhones. No more puppy-eyed geths and Space National Socialists Cerberus.
I beg of you, give us true grey morality. Let us decide whose side we agree with.
