@Mike_Laidlaw Does the story in #DAI change when playing as FemChar? Will the crowd react with hatred etc. because a woman has major power?@user People in the Dragon Age world generally don't mind women in positions of power, so I don't see why that would be an issue.
Dragon Age is fantasy. Dragons, elves, dwarves, magic, no glass ceilings, Templars who ignore spells cast in front of them. 
In all seriousness, a world needs to make sense on it's own, their can be applicability, but it need not mirror our own world.

Why do the Dalish in TME use the Andrastian term demons? Merrill & WoT read that Dalish simply view them all as spirits. @PatrickWeekes
@user Partly for reader. Partly because saying, "It's all just spirits," works for rage but maybe not for Big Bads like redacted.

uh, hmm, you know I think one thing we could do is to not make a big deal out of too many things. Fans, and devs alike. And really we're all human beings with a tendency for miscommunication and misunderstanding.
To top it off we're trying to communicate via text, which is not the most effective way of communicating. We miss so much information w/only text. So, yeah, sometimes ppl are not gonna get the joke, or the ambiguity, or the intended intent of text. Maybe if we could hear their voice, or see their face, we would understand better.
Sometimes ppl just get confused. They don't understand. They may think that they personally just didn't get it.
As far as the Twitter thread, ppl were responding to something that was posted directly into this thread. They were trying to figure out what it could mean.
Edit long enough, you get the characters' voices in your head and start thinking/talking like them. I have so many voices right now. #editor
So I should probably take all of the voices in my head and go home.

As someone who doesn't have twitter and only periodically checks this thread, I have to say, it makes sense for it to not be sticked anymore. If the OP was constantly updated to have the all the "important" tweets, it would be useful enough to be stickied. But having to search through 1200 pages of chatter for the actual dev tweets makes it rather useless if that's what I'm looking for (which is what this thread is supposed to exist for...)
Personally I come for both the Tweets and the comments on them. Half the fun sometimes is reading peoples funny comments on a funny tweet. Going off on tangents though probably doesn't help, and should be avoided.
Even though I myself can be guilty of this. 
This was the most informative thread on all the bioware forums, was as in formerly now that it has been unstickied.

Mostly I don't understand ,this thread has been going on for what ,more than a year?
We always got off topic , ok it was annoying when the off topic lasted pages ...but everytime I log on the site , it's one of the first thread I go read.
Because if there's some news , it's in there.(and it's not just about twitter , it's news about DA in general.)
I understand now with more info coming , the off topics are more frequent but I still think this thread should get a sticky.
I don't know if I should be happy to hear stuff for DA:I is getting cut, because that implies that the game gets closer and closer to Alpha (or Beta, or whatever the next stage of the project is) ... or sad because cutting stuff is ... well, sad.
Don't worry. They'll find a way to use it in the future.
The issue is more to do with people jumping to conclusions and the thread filling up with misinformation being declared as confirmed facts, and then people coming into this thread and then getting inundated with more misinformation, asking about it, and spreading it to other threads.
Also of note, you can subscribe to a topic (top of page, on the right) and you'll be notified when it is updated. (A lot of people have done this).

What the problem seemed more to be was that a line of text was snipped out of the quote so that it lost context and seemed to be confirming something that it wasn't originally intended to confirm.

I seem to recall there used to be ME threads that would report all the currently known information. The OP would be periodically updated with all the known information, plus citing where that information was revealed (tweets, magazine articles, Q&A sessions, etc)
