I love the cover art.  I especially enjoy the new colors and the demonic detailing.

That's true. Hawke had a magery element in the marketing, even though there was a ton of other marketing that kept him more Warrior.

 

imo:

 

DA:O - Warrior-  Rogue - Mage (mostly Warrior)

DA:2 - Warrior - Rogue/Mage (more even for Rogue and Mage overall)

DA:I - Warrior/Mage - Rogue (more even for Warrior and Mage overall)

 

I'd like Mage-Rogue-Warrior for the next game . Shake things up significantly.

 

 

 

EDIT: BTW a reason I imagine up for Bioware not making a more Rogue centric game is partially because there really ought to be QUITE advanced and interesting mechanics for rogue-ery that likely still don't exist yet. I'm perfectly fine with the series taking its time on it, until I can be a rogue in every way I could ever think of. For now, smashy smashy warrior fighting - even with Inquisition, albeit less than in previous games it seems.

The marketing was highly Mage. In many ways, almost exclusively. That's why I didn't go 'Warrior - Rogue - Mage' like DA:O, but instead 'Warrior - Rogue/Mage'. The trailers really really communicated 'Mage'.

 

It's in the game itself that being a Mage seems to not make much sense in many scenarios - like it was still a more alternate path, as far as writing and design was concerned. The plot made being a Mage more personal and maybe enjoyable, sure, but the script felt wonky about it all. Hey, I'm Hawke, and crazy mage stuff is happening, but don't mind me, even though I'm a mage. With blood magic.

 

But DA:I so far seems to be more focused on Mage than ever before. I'm happy with that . I'd rather have a story that works more for my mage, than a trailer that (imo) misleads me.

The arms and legs are way too thick for a female. And that part of the armour is mainly material, not so bulked out as the metal parts.

As a woman who lifts weights, married to a man who doesn't, both my thighs and calves are larger than his. And I'm not some sort of heavy lifter.

I would not expect some woman who can wander around in plate to be built like a disney princess.

 

To me the cover art is gender neutral. If I look at it one way, it's a guy, another way, a female.
