I was looking at CGHUB site...maybe Bioware is looking to get new blood on their team?
But I really don't get why they've been so quiet about it...

Does it come from World of Thedas ?
I was wondering if you already have a copy , Wiedzmin?
I like the colorful walls , and paved streets.
But the naked Andraste is a bit strange , not used to see her looking so...naked?
I don't really like it , not because she's naked , but it look too much pagan , like she's dancing naked in the fire.
And not burning and getting a sword (of Mercy) through the chest.
But I really like what I see.

It's beautiful but a bit misplaced. This looks like industrial age, while the set and environment of Dragon Age was closer to middle age.

Wasn't there a codex entry for "the invisible statue" at the Black Emporium that stated that an Orlesian artist once sculpted a nude statue of Andraste and the Chantry didn't approve but didn't want to destory it so they made it permanently invisible? Although that is one statue I'd like to see Meredith's red lyrium sword bring to life if you know what I mean *beavis and butthead laugh*
The statue here seems like a bit of a lore contradiction in that regard. But the city itself looks amazing!

This does NOT look like the Industrial "Age". This is more of a Renaissance-style period and I use that loosely. For the record, the Romans, especially during the Imperial period, had buildings that matched some of these styles. Don't forget, Ferelden is just beginning to become "civilized". So of course the kingdom would be on par with middle age architecture (as we have seen in Dragon Age: Origins and Awakenings). The Romans, the Greeks, the Moors, ect (to name a few) were architectiral geniuses (among other things) and many of our "classical" style buildings come from them. And to end my little rant, every time period have buildings that are influenced by past civilizations. So in my honest opinion, it would make sense that Orlais would look like this, especially if they are (were) an Empire.
Anyway, this is a concept artwork. Orlais could be completely different by the time the game comes out. <_<

You're right ,The Black Adder!

I suppose we could have a quest "Put some clothes on Andraste" on a Chantry Board.

Yeah it is far from industrial age. To me it reminds me of Renaissance Italy, like Florence or Venice. It looks awesome to me, it kind of fis how I personally picture Orlais in my head. Good job!Stella-Arc wrote...

I know it was taken from World of Thedas, what i want to know is if this concept was made for DA2 or DA3?
Or are you saying this concept was made just to be put it on the book and give a representation of Orlais on the page?

Link please. I've had several people tell me this but no source has materialised. In fact, I haven't seen anything relating to DA III's art style despite following news avidly.
