David Gaider touches on the reaction to the new trailer on his Tumblr: http://dgaider.tumbl...-with-a-release

So our trailer went out today—with a release date!

Also, the new Dragon Age website went up—which I understand will have a lot of updates to come. That’s good.

My impression of the fan reaction so far has been mostly squeeing and excited grabby hands. Also a lot of screencaps of the group shot at the end of the video, along with comments of “who’s that?” and “we’re gonna bang, k?” …in other words, pretty standard and positive stuff.

Aaaand then I’m back to writing another codex.

Not sure if someone has already posted it, so I leave this here.

This is interesting:

Spoiler

I remember reading about their plans for the main antagonist way back last year. They hadn't outright spoken of him/her in so long that I began to think the storyline had changed. It's nice to see that the overall summary is still the same. I'd love another Loghain or Saren.

So it sounds like the Divine and Fiona may be dead, along with a few other higher ups in the mage circles and the Chantry.

And with "thousands" dead, you'd wonder how many were left to fight the war...

I kinda hope Fiona isn't dead, I may not like her that much but she deserves better

Reminiscing about old bugs that no longer exist, but were hilarious.

No one has said they're dead. He wasn't specific. Calm down people, lol.

She'll survive and be the new mage leader .
I thought they won't kill every mages of Asunder (though Fiona seems very likely at this point , as Justinia), but then I think that Rhys' (and Evangeline's) death might be the reason for Cole to join the Inquisition.

Only leadership and those they brought with them would die.

Plenty of Circles/apostates, Templars, etc out there. Many middle ranked people, and probably still some high ranked. You don't send *everyone* to a peace talk, lol.

The Divine might die, but probably only after we see her in the prologue. I can't imagine they'd wipe her out seeing her. Same goes for Fiona.

I think Rhys, Evangeline, and Adrian are probably still kicking though, they could have been at a distance. Removing the Grand Enchanter just sets the mages up to split into Fraternity based factions. Plenty of chaos there.

Remember, if the breach occurred over a city, then those thousands that died were not necessarily all or even mostly Mages and Templars.

I don't think the group shot tells us anything new. We sort of knew all those characters would be in game and we still don't know which are companions.

There's an hint on three of them not having weapons (Cullen, Leliana and scribe girl).

True, nothing unexpected then.
