This is what made me decide to pre-order the fancy edition. Stank Bog Unicorn, here I come.

I really don't like it when companies do things like that. Why can't Oct 7th be a worldwide release date?

 

 

Maybe because of time zones? In New Zealand we're a day ahead of everyone, so if it was released on the 7th here we'd get it on America's 6th.

For it to be released at the same time it should come out on the 8th, and places that share our time zone. But I'm honestly happy with the fact we get it even a few days after, sometimes we have to wait like an extra week and a half for books/games to come out. 

I think it's mostly because of release date cultural norms for each country. Video games generally release on Tuesdays in the US (at least that's what I remember, I don't really pay attention anymore), and Fridays in Europe (so I'm given to understand). Do video games usually release on Thursdays in the countries of the October 9th release date?

It sounds like all the embargoes on those press events are ending. But were these from the one way bbac in February that the magazines attended, or something more recent?

(E.g. I don't remember reading anything by Kris Ligman yet, but she definitely went to something in Feb.)

Yeah I have a vague feeling that stuff usually gets released at the end of the week here(Aus). Just as long as my pre-order gets delivered on the Thursday or Friday i'll be happy. Not Monday like the last time It shouldn't be quicker for me to buy it in store)

Well, at a guess, you recognise that the English language changes over time, and using the masculine as a stand in for the universal went out of style in the 1970s in favour of the singular they or a total sentence recast.  And that more often, people get more annoyed at masculine pronouns than they do at a commonly used gender neutral one which also serves as the plural. 

 

I am only a humble tech-writer, and even I know that if you can't recast the sentence, using they is less noticeable these days than using he, she, s/he, it, ze or hir.  And from a communication standpoint, when people are focusing on your crappy use of pronouns, they are not focusing as hard on what it is you actually want to tell them.  You can bet that for everyone who comes here and complains about the pronoun gun, there are dozens more who just grind their teeth in frustration or stop reading altogether.

It's sweet the blast takes place in the Temple of the Sacred Ashes ...wonder if all the lyrium in the mountain will enhance the BOOM.

Also funny to think we ended DA2 with an explosion and we're going to start DAI with another one.

It's quite weird for Germany though. The release date is said to be the 9th, which is a Thursday. I think "thief"was released on a Friday, "watchdogs" will be released on a Tuesday. I think most of the time games get released on Friday here - what makes sense because you get a whole weekend to play can't complain about DA being set for a Thursday ^^ won't login on the BSN starting from the 7th then though.don't wanna see all the spoilers

Im assuming the Scribe girl deals with finances and Cassandra deals with the Military.
