That seems to be the direction they're heading, yes. He's always worked better as a close friend and confidant, anyway, IMO.

Yeah, I'm fine with it either way, but I'm sad for people who really were hoping to romance Varric. Especially Dwarf Inquisitors, as that would have been nice to have a Dwarf romance for once, but ah well.

Most of my favourite DA/ME characters aren't LIs, I think sometimes the friendship arcs with the protagonist are Bioware's strongest pieces of writing.

I have a cousin who is a LP and got really fed up over the Dwarf romance comments awhile back. He likes being able to play Dwarves in games because it's the closest he can get to playing himself, but the romance issue bugs him. I've asked him to come on here and say something about it, but he's shy and won't.

Varric and DHMG are on the top of my sexy companions lists.
Somehow I feel like one is going to tell my Inquisitor  he likes men better and the other will say he has a love affair with his crossbow.

Awesome, Gwendoline Christie is a winner in my book. And someone get that woman a Sword, they wouldn't let her train at home with a real one for Game of Thrones, instead being forced to use a broomhandle. (Which she later named "Slayer" I think)

Mordin!!!!!!.....when I watched a YouTube video of someone *gasp* shooting him.....I cried for 45 minutes and went through the majority of a box of kleenex, gave myself a headache.....was actually hiccupping.

 

Husband banned me from watching videos of other choices about characters.
