I had assumed that Iron Bull was the chief of a mercenary group, maybe I am wrong. So plenty of opportunities there for tal'vassoths. Just to be clear, I think it is a qnari NPC because of the hashtag Caroline Livingston used (#hornsup). And I think it's a Weekes' character since he was present in the recording session (and Gaider stated before that it's a common thing for a writer to be present in the recording booths to clarify lines and give directions).

Assuming Gwendoline is playing a Qunari, I wondering what their role will be in DAI. Other than Iron Bull's mercenary company, we've heard nothing else about their involvement. I don't even recall the Qunari being mentioned in The Masked Empire...

The Qunari are probably watching the chaos unravel through nations and planning their attack.

There are undoubtedly some floating around Orlais. The biggest human empire next to Tevinter? Hell yeah, the Qunari have spies there.

It depends how they handled the race concepts. I think it's possible they'll show one race at tweet.

I think the "#hornsup" hashtag is just a reference to the gesture that people do at rock concerts? It might not necessarily mean that she's playing a Qunari.

 

That being said, not a GoT fan but I looked up a scene and I do agree that she has an EXCELLENT voice for a female Qunari.

A Qunari, for instance, walking into a relatively peaceful town might see people back away in fear or act in a confrontational manner. However, a city in distress is, as Laidlaw said, unlikely to care as long as someone is there helping out.

Yet as with any quality role playing game, something for which Bioware is well-known, players can’t have it all. The Inquisitor may build an alliance with Orlais but fall out of favor with the Dalish as a result.

 

The gift-giving system for companions is essentially gone, though there will be some opportunities to do so. Players will build relationships with companions by helping them achieve their goals. Romance in Inquisition will be largely based on conversation.

 

It was previously announced that players would run into a character of significance from The Masked Empire novel recently released by author Patrick Weekes but Laidlaw snuck in a hint that it’s possible that players may run into several of the book’s influential characters. Whether any of them will be able to be recruited as a companion or not remains to be seen.

I'm way late in responding to this, but...

 

Wanted to speak as someone who reeeeeeeeeeeally wants a Varric romance since DA2.

 

I would be totally fine if Varric's romance consists of a sidequest to reunite him with Bianca.

 

Will it break my female dwarf Inquisitor's heart? Yeah, quite a lot. But Varric deserves some lovin' and happiness, and if he can't get that with my PC, I'm okay with hooking him back up with his old flame. I'd be happy for him.
