The webseries made me love Tallis, so I wouldn't mind seeing her again.

Bon voyage to @feliciaday & @annieliuliu who visited our studio to hang out and see #DAI. Our team admires Felicia's passion as a creator!
- So it doesn't look as though she was there to do VO work...

Do they do voice work in studio?

what exactly is it people hate about Tallis so much?
Plot Armor, and all your choices about her being negated. There are completely valid reasons to not want to help her, and while they let you choose that....you end up helping her anyways. And if you want the list of names...tough luck, she just skips away while you have no choice but to stand there and wave goodbye.
I also think most people who play Dragon Age games want to be the hero, the star. And MoTA almost feels like she's the star, and you're the side-kick.

Isn't their VO studio in Vancouver or was that MoCap?

It probably would have helped if the option to try and take the list was there, but generally it was a problem with the DLC, no choices really seemed to offer even the illusion that they mattered.Plot Armor, and all your choices about her being negated. They have a number of VO studios (Edmonton, LA, London...) but the MoCap studio is in Vancouver.

Well, they said the Qunari would only play a minor role. Even if she is in it's probably nothing more than a cameo.

Huh. I remember they said there would be a questline that would almost be impossible to do as a Qunari. I always assumed that meant some Qunari that were in the area refused to deal with a Vashoth + there'd be Ben-Hassrath hunting down a member of their race rising to prominence in the lands of the Bas. I guess that's not the case. It's not like the Qunari lack for enemies, exactly.
I was just wondering the other day when I watched Redemption for the first time whether Felicia would get to reprise her role or not. Good to see her and Bioware are still friendly and all that. I'm honestly surprised she's not a companion given how there were so many hints in the dlc that she was going to be important later. Who knows. She might be a companion in an expansion pack or DA4 one day.

I'm less concerned about the romances and more about the companion gender split. It looks like a foregone conclusion that there are six men and only three women. I know BW's usually tight-lipped on companions, but is there any chance you can address that? The awesome female companions have always been my favorite part of BW games, and I always appreciated the gender ratios were kept fairly equal in the past. So for men to suddenly outnumber women 2:1 makes me confused and a little hurt. coppermarigolds
DG: I did address that on the forum as well: here.

It probably was just a visit.
Not really DAI related, unless you consider one of Tallis' daggers was named Thane.

Maybe she was helping design a new version of Thane the PC can get as a little reference to da2.

I think he missed the point of the complains. It's about party composition choices and who you get to interact with in a deep manner (and only companions fill that roles), not the entire game gender distribution. Hell, his explanation fell apart when you look at DAO anyway, majority of party members are males, majority of the NPCs you interact with are males.
So I'm sending a challenge to BioWare: make a game where the companions list is made mostly of female for a change. Got for 6 females and 3 males rosters. Might help with the creative fatigue even.

He was mainly pointing out that they weren't aiming for that, it's just how it turned out when they picked the characters to develop as companions in DAI. Which is a valid response that gives an answer to the complaints. I think you might have gotten hung up on the later elaboration on how while the companions ended up 2:1, the whole game, when including all characters, is closer to 1:1.

There is no "hung up", only a totally different perspective on the gender split.

If the agents, consultors, or whatever they're called, are as important as the companions the number isn't that uneven. It still doesn't sit right with me.
No with Varric, again, in the party or Cole that...Sorry, but do we need a third abomination ?

Cole is more of a shade than an abomination, unless he's possessing Lambert, which I doubt. Think of him as being more like Justice from Awakening, except without a physical body--which implies he's an extremely powerful spirit, actually, to be able to manifest himself from apparently nothing.
