As far as marketing goestheyve shown gameplay and vids. Thats great an will grab ppls attention too. But as far as articles goes some arnt fact checked or edited worth crap not that i can speak (referring to my own grammer etc). But bioware isnt responsible or magazines editing or misinterperting thier info. I HIGHLY doubt mag send the article to them an ask them to double check it. As far as dev diary and FF goes stuff does happen theyre all human. Yes theyre trying to sell a product marketing, vids and gameplay will all have diffrent effects on diffrent ppl. But i dont see how a few hiccups and lazy mag componies alienates the majority of gamers. Also not trying to be rude.

Not to mention that there were countless articles released that were giving out misinformation. One or two I can understand. But there was wide-spread misinformation going on. That was a breakdown on Bioware's part. I guarantee you that they've started to think the same. As people have mentioned, this is very reminiscent of the build up to ME3.
Really? Cuz I really only remember that one with the thing. And we have very different definitions of the word "countless" since I'm pretty sure you could count the articles written about Inquisition on one hand.
And just as an aside I've always got the impression that "the majority" of gamers really don't care enough to feel like a gaming company needs to prove anything to them, because "the majority" of gamers buy games that looks snazzy and shiny and probably don't even remember that game from two years back that kinda disappointed them for a bit. Don't mistake the loud minority for the majority.

There's been a lot of misinformation going especially when OXM and IGN are involved, along with numerous other source's but those 2 are the worst ones right now. IGN made a fairly big error recently not to mention their rewind videos are riddled with so many errors that that prove how little they actually know about the series and DAI in general, hell they actually think we're still going to Nevarra and the free marches, didn't know what the Behemoth was or what faction uses them amoung tons of other things like Flemeth is narrating the fire's above trailer lol.
Actually no you couldn't count the number on one hand or even two hands, there's a lot of them, there's a big communication problem going around between bioware and various gaming news sites/ magazines considering all of the errors i've seen or heard about lately and some are taking thing's out of context and twisting them like what some did to Lady Insanity.
But I do agree with you it's not a majority of people, though the vocal minority is extremely loud they're still just that a minority

Go to any video game enthusiast site's message board. Post something about Bioware or DA:I. I promise you the majority of comments will be about how they've lost faith in Bioware since DA2 or ME3.
I'm not talking about loud mouth minority here. You get people who are just cautious or apprehensive about getting their hopes up for a new Bioware game. Or the fact that most articles have a mention about how Bioware has fallen a few pegs in the mind of their fans. Even Laidlaw opens up some of his panels with a joke hinting towards it. This is the narrative that has been pushed about Bioware since DA2 and ME3. whether you believe it's the majority or the minority is inconsequential.

Which if fair. Personally, I'm fairly certain the Followers and the Dev Diaries will make their way out into the wild eventually. There's still a whole shwack of time left.
Hell, I still feel like I'm processing the deluge of information that's come out this week! ![]()

You are speaking exactly of a loud minority. The majority of gamers don't post/aren't members of gaming boards. The majority of gamers don't watch gaming panels. The majority of gamers don't buy gaming magazines. By March 2012 ME3 shipped 3.5 million copies. I'd love to see more current stats if anyone has them btw. The BSN has just over half a million members, which is HUGE for a forum, the vast majority of those people don't post or never even started. You get the same in every gaming community, a small percentage of people who's egos like to let them believe they have a much bigger influence on sales figures than they actually do. They're just loud is all. The majority of gamers (as in the people who are actually gonna wind up buying a copy) have absolutely no idea about the kerfuffle that has all our feathers so very ruffled. And never will because it's an idle bit of recreation.
So get upset, that is of course your right, declare that you won't buy it or are seriously considering dropping your pre-order but for all that is decent and good stuff the implication that Bioware owes you anything. You either buy or don't buy their product, that's where the relationship begins and ends. If they wanna be iffy when it comes to their marketing/promise-keeping that's their prerogative.

I believe she said she was going to be back yesterday (and she'll have a wee bit to catch up on...). And it's not a bad idea to create a twitter account, there's a lot of fun (but un-DAI-related) discussion from the Devs which wouldn't get reposted here. That said, anything that is DAI-related does wind up in this thread....

Hi everyone I'm finally back and of course I missed everything!
The trailer was awesome! it was so nice to see everyone together at the end, and the cover art was awesome as well! BioWare has been busy.
Lady Sif is gonna be pissed she missed this...
I was, but now I'm far to excited for that to bother me come on Oct
She is gonna flip her **** lol
I definitely did
Poor Lady Sif goes away for the week and look what happens.... She'll have some catching up to do.
I'm upset I'm missed it all, but I'm so excited that I'm no longer upset lol. Everything they released is amazing Oct can't get here fast enough!
It seems she chose the best time, don't forget the cover art
I know I have amazing timing. I'm not going on vacation again until DAI comes out
Of course, I had to dismissively handwave away her concerns that something big could pop up in her absence...
Yeah... I'm gonna get an earful when she gets back.
I'm never listening to you again trust broken
Am I the only one wonder how Lady Sif will react once she comes back? One week she's not here to update us and we got bombarded with info lol BioWare, you guys are so cruel =)))
I'm still freaking out if that tells you anything
Where is our savior Lady Sif?
