Chris is no longer with BioWare, but like Stan he now has a personal account and I think he's a moderator as well.

Sure it is a baby and not a drake?

Jonathan Perry:

"Many of you were curious about the owner of the ominous claws in the last screenshot I shared, so…

Here's another screenshot of something we've been working on in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

And that's just a baby dragon. Trust me, they get much, much bigger".

Huh, the lack of wings made me think it was a male. Oh well.

To be honest, you guys are far more diligent at remembering the lore than, for example, I am.  It could be a drake technically, but my first observation and comment was "Baby dragon" as well.  I wouldn't get too caught up on the specific word used when someone releases an off the cuff picture because he is excited and wants to share it :P

It's a misleading summary.

What I said was that we enjoy the opportunity to embellish on characters from previous games. Often a character is made from generic pieces (most NPC's are built this way). But when you are able to elevate one of them you can update their appearance, tell more of their story through unique wardrobes or a more carefully crafted face. I just updated a character from Origins. Not a drastic redesign, just giving them a bit more love.

I am still going to ask you for more details when i get a chance!

So umm Mr. Schumacher since your here would you mind confirming that not all the romance options will be romancable by either gander for us please.

Can't confirm or deny unfortunately. Though the panel yesterday was interesting for us as people shared what they do/do not like about both methods. patrick was pretty surprised and had some assumptions challenged which was great!

There will be loading screens. Just not for things like caves. Was more referring to the smaller things.

Someone: Will ist be posible on PC to play the whole combat in the tactical view, not just in the pause? Like it was in Origins.

Mike: Yup!

Also, I thought the transition between camera styles (iso / over shoulder) during combat was smooth and not jarring as it can sometimes be.

The camera system in Frostbite is so much more capable of those types of transitions i find.

Sorry about that BTW :P still feel a little bad for so bluntly disagreeing with some of the other fans

Haha no worries. I know both patrick and karin loved the ad hoc discussion that formed as a result. I did too.

I assumed we would be seeing a lot of rehashed abilities, but boy are there new ones.

We've heard mention of Harpoon. We see Whirlwind happen. Then we see Cassandra use a Shatter Armor ability and a War Horn. Vivienne raises walls of fire AND ice, a frost glyph, and an Ice Burst, a Dispel, and Firestorm (which is the only rehashed one of hers). Wow.

Also, I swear Vivienne teleports quickly around 8:22.

She does.:wizard:

Mr. Allen, can you clarify about Qunari mages? Mr. Laidlaw responded to my tweet asking about it, and said yes, that we can, but later a person at the PAX panel said that Qunari could not be mages.

They just mentioned on the races panel that you can be a mage but you wouldn't be a sarebaas (i totally butchered that i think....)

They don't teleport. It's a Haste spell. They're basically running in great speed. I think it was David who said this.

Funny, in DA:O and DA2 the haste spell didnt make your run faster than the speed of light.

Besides, Allan confirmed that she is indeed teleporting.

Sorry but i am not really a gigantic lore specialist so it is a bit misleading to just state thatbi confirmed this. Vivienne zipped ahead a short distance in combat and if there is a better in game lore explanation then that is more likely accurate.

I would prefer to not dwell too much into semantics on it. Vivienne, at this time, has an ability to jump a short distance in a very short period of time.

I cannot confirm Qunari details. Most are still being worked on ourselves. Matt Rhodes commented with "in investigation" for a lot of things.

There may be some shifts.

I'm OOO at the moment, but I believe the week before PAX was a bug week, and last week was a DA Week (do side project stuff).

As such, this week is probably the first week of the sprint so a reasonable estimate would probably be end of this month or early October.

I hope it looks at least decent on the PS3 because I'm not sure I can afford the PS4 before DAI comes out. I'll get it eventually, I'm sure, but still.

You have over a year. If you sock away $8 a week until then you should be able to buy a PS4 and a DAI Collector's Edition.

LOL!  You math types are always causing trouble for us impractical, seat-of-the-pants types.  Image IPB

"It's only $5.  I'm not going to max out my credit card with $5."
Real world:
$5  x  {infinity}  =  I don't want to think about that right now....

One always has to be careful of nickel and diming yourself.  When buying my car the salesman was often "It's like $10 a month" and I was just "yeah but if I do that with 10 different things now it's $100/month!"

Mr. Schumacher, are you able to share with us a timeframe/event that will give us the next big glimpse of Inquisition, since that's the raison d'etre for this thread?

I am not sure.  I think the next big event is VGA, but that's not really "big press event" from what I know (is it?).

On the other hand, not worrying too much about the next big expo would be something I wouldn't mind having. :D

I wouldn't be surprised if we have a presence at the Edmonton Expo, but I don't know anything about it (I have been on holiday since PAX). If we do, I wouldn't expect it to differ a whole lot in terms of presentation than the PAX presentation (lest the team just curl up and cry). But I'm not at work... maybe they will? :S

And yeah, I think the Spike VGA is in December.
