The Mass Effect 2 art book that came with the Collector's edition spoiled a bit of the game for me, specifically I remember seeing Garrus's concept work revealing a plot point... So I plan to grab this art book no sooner than DA:I's release date.

DEV CONFESSION: it weirds me out a bit when fans refer to the DA origins/backgrounds by last name (Cousland, Amell, etc). I think it’s because as a non-story-focused dev, I know them first and for the longest time as “Human Noble”, “Dalish Elf”, “Qunari Warrior”, etc - players get to see them fully complete with the last name in place from the first instant.
Allan Schumacher @AllanSchumacher
Yuppers. The only one I know off hand is Cousland and that could be because it's what I played first and it was late in development

You're making progress - we just need to drill you on distinguishing Mahariel, Tabris, Brosca and Surana and you'll be all set
.
I think fans use the surnames to differential between them because it's quicker and seems more personal to type 'my Aeducan' rather than 'my dwarf noble.'

Even as a player with 1,000+ hours in Origins, I rarely remembered the PC's last name. Other than with Cousland and Aeducan PCs (I think...), you just didn't see or hear the PCs last name in-game.
I only really learned their last names when I started hanging around here... ![]()

Not gonna lie, I'm a player but it weirds me out too. Dalish elf was my first char and I'm still like, "Mahariwho?"
Dalish elf was my first too but that’s because I think it was the first origin we got running on DAO consoles

I don't think it is. Steve is Alistair's voice actor but he's also a voice actor in general. It might just be exciting news about a new part he's got or something. ![]()

Yeah, though a Harbinger-TIM fight like how we fought Sovereign-Saren would have been fun.
