I think he said there wouldn't be any big cities like the Assassin Creed games or GTA because it wasn't the main focus of Inquisition.

From what I can tell, he's talking about AC-style bustling cities with crowds of hundreds of NPCs. "Busy" cities, that feel lived in.
That doesn't really tell us anything about cities that are geographically large, if "underpopulated', like Denerim or Kirkwall.

Would you say that Western Approach, Emerald Graves and other areas outlined on the official site are completely spoiled for you? Even gameplay demo of Crestwood "barely scratched the surface" of that map. I for one would like the first look on Nahashin Marches. General description of the area and a couple of screenshot can not spoil it for me. And you can always go on a media blockade.

I very much doubt that DA:I only has those 3 locations, especially because we've seen more.
