Every time I read a tweet like this from the writers I feel both dread and curiosity at the same time...what an odd sensation.Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes

First thought that came to mind was a companion sacrificed themselves to save someone they loved, possibly the Inquisitor. Scenes like this always end up with folk either being sad, whimpering, tearing up, or calling someone an a-hole for doing something so cruel.
Totally an assumption. Hope I'm wrong 'cos I'm kind of bored with the whole "My love, I'll die so you may LIVE!" scenario in games. Been. Done. To. DEATH. Ha, death, 'cos, y'know, someone always dies in the end.

I didn't almost cry MY EYES WERE WET.
Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
Wait, is that more or less? I need to note this difference on the Feels Chart.
Sad, but like... a dignified sad.

Honestly, I keep getting this dreadful feeling that somehow they're gonna off Varric at game's end (when no companions are really needed any longer or much longer, so to speak). Because he's back for a second time and seems to be universally loved (or at least not hated) by most of the fans.
It's basically one of the largest kick-to-the-emotional-feels I can think of, given our rather limited knowledge of people-we-already-know-and-care-about in the game.
Could just be me, though. I mean, that sort of thing would make that moment rank right up there with the Death of Mufasa as the single most jarring, stand up and shout MAKER NOOOOOOOOOOOOO moment in my entertainment history. ![]()

Don't give them ideas! *cries*

I got a little sad, but was buoyed by the thought that others would suffer more.

You killed another poor defenseless creature didn't you? You monster! ;-)
Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
Look, man, DEFENSELESS is a strong and vaguely defined term.

Please mark answer . Why no mounted combat in Inquisition ? ![]()

Are the demos your going to show at E3 the same ones you've shown at PAX?
Check with me around June 10th and I'll tell ya. ![]()

That's why I never expressed this fear until they declared Alpha. Sounds like everything that's gonna be in is either in or placeholder'd, so now they're just buttoning up the polish, working more deeply on already-created-and/or-planned cutscenes, and more bug testing. Um, right? ![]()
Now watch Allan like my post and throw me into potential offline histrionics just to mess with our minds. ![]()
Damn... you better be wrong!
Certainly hope I am. Would even sacrifice the potential-ability-to-romance-him hope that I cling to if it means saving his little dwarven life. ![]()

Although that does not bolster confidence. ![]()
If I recall correctly, the writers are doing codex entries. So Weekes wrote a sad codex entry.

*shakes fist* ALLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNN!!!!!!!

Hold up.
October 9th?
This is some sort of mistake right? They meant the 7th right?
Edit.
NVM saw that it was Australia. Got worried for a second. =D
I edited the post so there won't be any more panic attacks ![]()
Also, the fear demon kinda reminds me of Diva from The Fifth Element, if she went evil and turned into a demon that is.

@PatrickWeekes @bbattye @Sylvf1 @SherylChee @KarinWeekes You really are working hard for that "history's greatest monster" title, eh?
@User @PatrickWeekes @bbattye @Sylvf1 @SherylChee But Sheryl wrote the one that's so far caused the most laughter in The Editing Chamber
@KarinWeekes @User @bbattye @Sylvf1 @SherylChee Sheryl's is pretty awesome.
And that ladies and gents, is how you fill the fan tear vaults!
I only just now noticed how the extended "AN" on his name makes it look like I might actually be shouting, "KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNN!!!!" all Captain Kirk-style. ![]()
