Let me guess - the Inquisitor sacrifices himself at the end? Like in DA:O the grey warden. But I hope there is a possible way out instead of being a jerk and letting everyone else die to save your own hide.

well if this gonna be like shepard sacrificing himself for "dignified" good, i'd rather not play it at all....if i wanted sad dramas, i would watch gay movies!(i actually watched them and they always made me a wreck afterwards) I need a  happy ending....i hope theres an option,so when the game is released im spoiling myself over the endings, then only play) hehe im that weird.

Uh, I would definitely rather the Inquisitor die than, say, Varric.

 

I hope both will survive and the LI if the Inquisitor romanced someone. But this is because I love happy endings... but I guess I should not get my hopes up.

Considering that the game isn't supposed to end at the main stories conclusion, I doubt that our inquisitor dies.

No I understand that and did it with Mass Effekt 3 too, by doing this I was kind of prepared for the ending and playing without knowing what is going to happen would have been more of a shock. But I think this time I will try to be spoiler free concerning the end and play it once as I think and after that studying all possible endings and play again to get the ending I like most

No I understand that and did it with Mass Effekt 3 too, by doing this I was kind of prepared for the ending and playing without knowing what is going to happen would have been more of a shock. With mass effect 3 i played it on the release day,so didnt know what was going to happen. And after the ending i wasn't just shocked,i felt empty,sad and very dissapointed....

Yep, they've confirmed post-main story gameplay and world exploration before, so I don't think it's the case that the Inquisitor will die (at least not 100% of the time). 

 

Plus I think recent reactions to other Bioware games might've dissuaded them from forcibly killing off protagonists, at least for a little while.

Games? Forcibly? What are you talking about? It doesn't apply even to ME3. (You have to destroy the whole race and murder one of your crew, or even friends to get there, but you can keep your protagonist alive.)

 

As for the Inquisition, I personally think it's entirely possible there will be something similar to the choice between Dark ritual and noble (or not exactly) sacrifice. I just hope it will be more stressful choice. Although I'm not against having a perfect happy everybody dancing and singing in the streets (as Kaidan put it) kind of ending on top of that—as a reward for the player's effort, of course.
