Certainly not in this areaSoooo no brothel semiconfirmed rumor?
Are all the new location reveals part of separate maps? Or are some of them from the same zone? If the first option, then how many zones do we have up till now?
Are all the new location reveals part of separate maps?
Not exactly. The Fortress of Adamant is a part of Western approach. It could be that Therinfal redoubt is located in the same zone as Crestwood (though it wasn't revealed officially), since both are in Ferelden. And Halamshiral is likely a part of Emerald Graves.
So if I were to hazard a guess, the separate maps revealed so far are Emprise du Lion, Emerald Graves and Exalted Plains (all of which compose the Dales), the Western Approach, and Ferelden.
Damn this game will be huge.
I really hope we'll see and visit some huge Orlesian cities by the way, else the story could more or less take place in Ferelden again. I know there are many differences that have already been shown but when Orlais was first announced as the next destination that's the first thing I thought about. I would not understand if the only aspect of Orlesian society (and high-society) we could interact with is in Halamshiral. Anyway it's gonna be huge indeed ![]()
I would be super pissed if they DAI doesn't have cities. That would become a major criticsm. Eliminating any major mechanic often results bad. Just look at recent Final Fantasy or Resident Evil entries.
Cities aren't exactly a large part of the Dragon Age franchise. Denerim was what, three sparsely populated and very small areas?
Dragon Age 2 may have been set in a city, but Kirkwall was one of the least enjoyable settings of any game I've ever played, and didn't change at all over the course of six years.
Just having one well integrated and heavily populated village that can change based on your actions would be better than any urban area we've seen in the series so far.

Alrighty CSI: BSN - time to get to work! ![]()

Black city?
The Fade is looking spectacular.
Black city?
Doesn't match the concept art in World of Thedas.

Interesting that there is a sun in the Fade...
*snip*
Black city?
Probably not, but that does look creepy.
Interesting that there is a sun in the Fade...
There was one in DA:O.

I'm not too au fait with my Fade lore, but isn't most of it just demons trying to recreate human concepts in their little patches of turf? It's conceivable that one of them just conjured a sun, because Thedas has a sun...
Interesting that there is a sun in the Fade...
It's the breach?
Also interesting to compare an older screenshot of this area to the new one...

Actually, I like the lighting in the older screenshot more...
It's the breach?
That's quite possible, actually.
I never really thought about what impact the breach would have on the fade, but presumably it would have just as much of an impact there as in Thedas.

It's a water slide for the demons ![]()

I have a soft spot for the blue/green type of color so I like the new lighting...but I wonder where it comes from.
It gives an underwater/aquarium vibe.

Just had a quick peek and... yup - you're right!
It's the breach?
Could be the breach... but as it was pointed out, there was a sun in the Fade in DA:O.

I don't think it's the same exact spot. Look at the grass. Might've been added somewhere along the way, but still.
