I don't think it's the same exact spot. Look at the grass. Might've been added somewhere along the way, but still.
I think it's just a view from one of the other corridors, it has the exact same architecture as the previous one. I assume it's just further along in development and they've added grass since the previous shot. Maybe they felt in testing the level was too dark and added more light?
Also interesting to compare an older screenshot of this area to the new one...
They look like two completely different areas, to be honest - even if they share the same layout.
The bottom one has grass, and the top one looks much more like an indoor dungeon-y area.

I have a soft spot for the blue/green type of color so I like the new lighting...but I wonder where it comes from.

I'm loving all the areas so far, so diverse and beautifully designed.
Notice the torch-lit doorway and the view into the building on the right. One of things I like about DA moving to the new engine is the seamless transition between (at least some) outdoor to indoor areas. We've seen this with caves in the Crestwood area as well as windows behaving as... actual windows. 
A clever level designer can create some impressive transitional scenes...
I really like the look of the new Fade.
Also, Therinfal Redoubt is just so creepy... looking forward to exploring it!

Well, that quote is a historical reference from the overview of notable Ferelden fortresses. Or did you mean if they hinted at the nature of the Inquisitor's initiation with that quote?

I don't think there'll necessarily be an initiation. We've seen concept art of Cassandra and Leliana "crowning" the Inquisitor in front of a crowd of people - and why would we need an initiation when we're already the head of the organisation?

One would imagine the initiation to determine suitability would come first... then the "crowning".

That happens, presumably, after the breach. Before that, there's no Inquisition.

I believe it IS underwater. If you look at the skylight you can actually see ripples that look like water. Blurry closeup here:
Kinda reminds me of the underwater tunnel to the Redcliffe Castle.
Is there a lot of water in the Fade? Because there seems to be an aweful lot of karst?
As for the green lighting, could it be that the breach is just over this window, and that this room is illuminated by it? Because the grass doesn't seem to me to be underwater vegetation...

Could be that there is a window/ some other kind of barrier between the actual tunnel and the water above. Maybe this is how we get to the fade breach that was underwater in the demo we saw last year?
I wonder what will be the next location?

OMG, that's so sweet.
Not that I am surprised, as that is a sweet group of folks up in Edmonton, but still... so sweet! 
I hope that is Schmooples! Or at least a new pet Nug that we can adopt.
