Weekes is by far the best writer in Bioware. And one of the best there is out there. No wonder masked empire is terrific piece of writing.

That reference to Redcliffe's horse master is interesting. Wasn't there a mention of him elsewhere?

I believe one of the devs mentioned in an interview potentially recruiting Redcliffe's master of horse for the Inquisition.  It might explain why he is referred to as the "former" horsemaster in the letter..?

So I think its safe to assume that this master of horses is how we get our mounts. Or at least our horse, assuming there may be other options later like halla.

That makes sense   I had thought at first perhaps he'd retired into working horses for Teagan in the Hinterlands.  And that's a good point...I wonder if he too perished or if he may be a contact in the region?

This made more hopeful and excited for DAI than any other video or screenshot did.

It's going to be hard siding with the templars if you're going to be a good guy, huh? It was already a bit off in DA2 (doing a good guy pro-templar run right now and it feels like my character has a split personality) but, 'can't tell a hoe from a staff' doesn't give the best impression of what the templars are anymore. Unless he was talking about the red templars specifically.

True, though the templars being extreme was more apparent since DA2 while the crazy mages everywhere is a newer thing.

 

DAI is not mage/templar focused though, unlike DA2, so it should be fine.

Maybe Arl Eamon dies at the peace conference when the veil explodes? If mages and templars are fighting right in his back yard, he has a very good reason to be there.

True, but just to add: it even seems there are no clear-cut factions anymore. We have Vivienne representing mages still loyal to the Chantry or at least not willing to go against it, and Cullen likely indicates that not every templar has abandoned their vows.
