It wasn't before? Blocky is honestly what I expect of Ferelden

What happened to all those round towers?

Very good point. Barely remembered the exterior of that place.
Sucks that the Redcliffe castle is now blocky and angular.
Are Bioware's artists incapable of creating round and curved architecture?
Sucks that you still can't do anything but whine and complain about the game consistently on this site.
I guess we shouldn't expect any different though.
Redcliffe Awesome. I think Redcliffe is the place where we meet Alistair as King or as Drunkard.
Also i hope that we get Connor, Isolde and of course Bella as Cameo.
But Mayor Murdock isn´t likely to come back because his voice actor was Robin Sachs (Rest in Peace Robin)
Perhaps Murdock also passed away by the time Inquisition roles around. Maybe the Inquisitor can visit his resting site, which could double as something of a small tribute/memorial to the late, great Robin Sachs? Just a thought.
Sucks that you still can't do anything but ****** and complain about the game consistently on this site.
SO how about that Redcliffe? Great, isn't it? I wonder what location will be tweeted next!
Sucks that you blindly agree with everything Bioware does no matter what, even if it contradicts with what we saw in DAO.
1. There's nothing wrong with being critical of things, but there is something wrong with only ever seeing the negative, and never being positive about anything
2. We can't see all of the castle in the DA:I screen
3. It's been 5 years since DA:O, things aren't gonna look exactly the same
4. BioWare owns Dragon Age, the can do whatever they want with how they design things
Please do direct me to one single positive thing you've said about the game. I haven't seen it yet.
You fault me for being positive about the game, well i'd rather be positive than pessimistic as ****.
Take the arguments to PM, maybe?
I wouldn't waste my time with that.
I won't post more about it. It's just annoying is all.

I kind of hope they are going to stop showing locations now...I'd like to discover stuff in game .Maybe we could have a bestiary or more info on companions.(and by this I mean some sexy pictures of DHMG , Varric , Solas , BlackBeardMcWarden, The Iron Bull...
)
Are Bioware's artists incapable of creating round and curved architecture?
Would you tell me something? Why should they?
3. It's been 5 years since DA:O, things aren't gonna look exactly the same
No. 10 years ![]()
Would you tell me something? Why should they?
I'm the only one that wants to see Lothering too? I don't know why but I liked that place. I hope Redcliffe feels like an different place depending what the warden does, like being an prosperous village thanks to the warden heroism or an decadent place if the warden left it to it's fate.

Sorry for being kind of bratty in my defense and for kinda ranting in this thread. Not everyone should be subjected to arguing when it's only between 2 people.
I just think it's silly to spend time on BioWare forums if you seemingly have big a problem with BioWare and their games.
Regardless people can feel about the game the way they wish. I mean who am i to change someone's opinion? Or to tell anyone that their opinion is wrong?
An opinion is called an opinion for a reason.
I never said they should. I'm just wondering why they would retcon this.
Consistency with the rest of the game?
Lothering is gone. It was destroyed completely and it will take decades for the land to recover, if at all. The survivors abandoned the place to go to Redcliffe or Denerim.

Dragon Age: Origins is not Dragon Age: Inquisition. The games are not obligated to look like each-other in any way, shape or form. If you liked how DA:O looked better, that's fine. I highly recommend you divorce player knowledge from character knowledge, for the purposes of the world, the characters make no distinction between varying art styles because art assets change and evolve with technology.
If you're going to get hung up on this detail, you're gonna have a bad time in this age of the sequel/reboot.
I despise retcon with every bit of my heart
But this Lothering is not a retcon, since technically even if the billage was destroyed, it still could easily recover in 10 years. That's how it happens all the time in real life as well
And DA2 says that Lothering may never recover and has been abandoned. But Witch Hunt says that Lothering was recovering and they were even building a monument to the Warden.
Will Redcliffe in-game look just as beautiful as the screenshot?
No, of course not. It will look much more beautiful! Provided you have a rig to render its beauty. ))
