I hope they won't spoil too much storywise.
I mean the end of act 2 was spoiled in a DA2 trailer.Hawke vs Arishock.

Thank you for posting that. Its the first time I've seen anything saying they are apparently gonna unveil a "critical path" and showcase the story itself at E3. Looks like I might have to enter my media blackout phase earlier than I thought....
Yeah, it looks like it's going to be a pretty substantial reveal at E3. If you were looking to go into the game relatively spoiler-free, now is definitely the time go dark.
I thought this comment was pretty funny as well... ![]()
"Edmonton’s summer festival season and “amazing river valley” are big attractions for staff but more “weather sensitive” developers from video game hub cities like San Francisco, CA; or Austin, TX, who arrive for a job interview in the dead of winter “tend to wonder what hell-gate they’ve arrived at,” joked Laidlaw."
Edit: Also, from Laidlaw in that article: “there’s a real appeal to feeling like there’s this team that kind of has your back but often doesn’t have your back very well...”
Wow. First Sera has "bad decision" hair, Iron Bull is the "bad decision" chili dog, now that. lol Bad decisions and rough starts all around! This could either result in something really pathetic... or the Avengers. lol
I have a feeling my Dalish Mage's decisions aren't going to be especially popular with the more conservative elements in the party... ![]()
(Hopefully there is a "Sleep with one eye open" option in DAI...)
That article also talks about focusing more on being a leader, and dealing with advisors and troop movements. I love that idea, but also I wonder if that means there will be less we go out adventuring, and more we stay home and plan.

Well, what great leader dosen't lead from the front? ![]()
My eyebrows rose at that too, makes me wonder if the entire team is going to be one of misfits and renegades in a way. Should be interesting.

Yeah, that's definitely what I'm thinking.
I just want to know three things before I go dark: Scribbles' name, if DHMG's name is really Dorian, and whether or not Varric is romancable, specifically by a female inquisitor. Hopefully at least one of the first two things will be handled by tomorrow's "meet the team" reveal. :/ The rest, I guess I'm gonna have to work out how to navigate the spoiler minefield to get the answers to after the fact.

I don't really see those as spoilers... I mean, we can't really make much sense out of them.
Unless, of course, they provide several pieces of the puzzle. Or we overanalyze. Which we may tend to do...

I think this is going to result in Sera and Iron Bull ending up together in my party a lot when it's time for Shenanigans to ensue.
Yeah, that's definitely what I'm thinking.

Yeah... that's going to be minefield alright. ![]()
However, you could just PM someone after E3 to get that info...

Oh I don't think any Bioware team is complete without at least a 90:10 ratio of misfits and renegades to well adjusted folk, but I think the types of misfits we'll find this time around will be a special breed of misfits that have somehow, inexplicably, found themselves in some sort of position of power.
The statue behind him in the pic looks like a dog from Therinfall Redoubt to me.
I must say that armor on the warden blackwall is awesome. So is it fair to say we will be traveling to val chevin to recruit him?

Kind of like the Inglorious Basterds leading the entire Allied War Effort in World War 2. ![]()
Please ask devs what kind of food is Blackwall.
It's not as fun as it sounds!
I bet.
Though seriously you are playing an...incomplete...is that the right word? Video game and then on the top of it you have to play it over and over and over again and try and do things to see if the game is broken...so long story short, by the time the actual game comes out you are already sick of playing it. ![]()
The Edmonton Sun has a feature on the development of DAI:
"It's time for dragons to come out in all their glory at #E32014" - @BioMarkDarrah
There;s actually some good stuff in there
“This is the first time we’re really going to deeply show one of the critical paths in the story, showing you the consequences of what’s going on in the world,” Darrah says, adding “it’s time for dragons to come out in all their glory at E3.”
Creative Director Mike Laidlaw says the E3 showing will allow BioWare to hone in on relationships in the game as “there’s a real appeal to feeling like there’s this team that kind of has your back but often doesn’t have your back very well...”
Spaces will also “evolve and react to your presence,” added Darrah, as players defeat enemy troops, rebuild bridges and seize areas for the Inquisition.
I just realized Blackwall is wearing a helmet here, but not in the last supper screen.
Is there going to be a helmet toggle, and if I use it, will it interefere with Vivienne's glorious horns? Because that is some kinda sadistic choice.
I bet.

Not to mention the long, loooong hours they put into it.

Just did. Good idea!
I bet.

And, this is where my knowledge sort of fails me, but I can easily imagine based on what I have heard....you just play basically one scene for the entire day over and over, you are given only a set number of things you can do in the day and then you have to play it over and over again looking for bugs. So no sense of story progression, so I imagine it gets quite tedious.
Still something I may want to do though. ![]()
