I have no problems with the reveals that are coming in the next week, including Vivienne's.  The only thing I'm disappointed about is that DHMG doesn't even have a name yet.  Hopefully they'll at least tell us his name before the end of E3.  Otherwise, I'm looking forward to the rest of the reveals.  Also, for those that played ME, I'm already getting a "Garrus*" vibe from Iron Bull, which for me is a good thing.  

 

_{*Garrus from Mass Effect=Think Varric, only with a darker sense of humor, more pragmatic and has the distinct bonus of being fleshed out in all three Mass Effect games.  This is over-simplifying the character, but it's a decent summation for those that haven't played the games.}

Mine is actual dislike for Vivienne. Every quote from her makes me know I will not like her personality at all. 

Everything I've read so far also tells me I'm not going to like her... But I'm willing to give her a chance.
Still, I'd rather have a character that I hate than one I completely ignore because it bores me to death.

I wish I could give you more than one like for this.  I feel very much the same way.  Love or hate the character, give me someone that is interesting and memorable.  I'd rather not have a companion bore me to tears.

I get the impression from what I've read of MotA is that basically she succeeds at her mission whatever you do, whether you like her or not, or help or hinder her. I can sort of see how that might annoy some people, but since (I believe?) she and Hawke have different but connecting goals I spose it makes sense you can't stop her any more than she can stop you...

Not often, but I'm not here to derail the Twitter thread.  And it doesn't have the same connotations of "He'd be so pretty if he'd just smile more."  There are layers of meaning there and it's not a good place to go regarding women or female characters.  So let's just let Vivienne be who Vivienne is, shall we?  She doesn't strike me, from her quotes, as being a very smiley character.  Beautiful, yes.  Dangerous, yes.  But also serious and probably doesn't smile very often, vs. Sera who probably smiles a lot more.  And if I'm right, well, that's who she is--accept it, or don't.  And that's the last I will say on that topic.

Don't quote this as official because I can't seem to find the information but I believe one hour of that is being devoted to a livestream of Battlefield Hardline being played live.

I agree. It's an oddly objectifying request, though I don't think that's how most people intend it. We're talking about a character, not a posable doll.

FWIW, I'm speaking as someone who's had strangers order me to smile and I found it extremely creepy and rude, so I may have sensitive alarm bells for such things.

So I thought in the character reveal thingies bioware is doing they’d be giving Iron Bull a name. But apparently not? Seems awkward to be like, “Hey, Iron Bull.” Maybe it’s just me. Or maybe he’ll only tell you his real name if you become really good friends with him or maybe a lover. Idk

Honestly, I'm kind of impressed that someone is social justice warrior-ing telling a character to smile. Over the fact that they're a women and men apparently are never told that.....and even if they are it's not equivalent.....facepalms all around the BSN today.
On topic......E3 is the reason I booked 2 days off work, hopefully my "sick aunt" appreciates my dedication. Devs show us the magic
