No female in demo so far.

 

I thought the Inquisitor fighting the Ferelden Frostback (dragons have races now too) was female and thatw as probably ehr voice narrating the companions.

That was an event handled by EA and they need to share the time with all their studio so pretty normal.

Okay, that's twice people have said "I wanna see Vivienne smile."  Some characters, and some people, don't smile much, if at all.  And that's perfectly okay, you know?  If that's who she is, that's who she is.  The same thing gets said of and to real women all the time, but you don't see it said about men...

 

Not often, but I'm not here to derail the Twitter thread.  And it doesn't have the same connotations of "He'd be so pretty if he'd just smile more."  There are layers of meaning there and it's not a good place to go regarding women or female characters.  So let's just let Vivienne be who Vivienne is, shall we?  She doesn't strike me, from her quotes, as being a very smiley character.  Beautiful, yes.  Dangerous, yes.  But also serious and probably doesn't smile very often, vs. Sera who probably smiles a lot more.  And if I'm right, well, that's who she is--accept it, or don't.  And that's the last I will say on that topic.

 

I don't think there's any need to make this more than it is: a hope that we might see a different expression on her face at some point in the promo stuff.  I'm sure we will, but it might help people see there's more to her than a one-expression, one-note character that they have to hate on sight despite knowing so little about her.

Was the Inquisitor in the gameplay female? I thought it was a guy, for some reason, now I'm not so sure. Never occurred to me that the narrator might be the Inquisitor though.
