I don't know, Leliana is a very capable woman, maybe she will free herself?
She's capable in the first game but still constantly depending on the Warden to help her through different situations/emotions. My secondary Warden(whose head over heels for her) would slash his way through her captors before she could even wake up and mess with her chains. She would wake up warm and fully healed at the camp with me innocently saying "Kidnapping? What kidnapping? Did you have a bad dream?"

Oh no don't get me wrong. My female Qunari will be all fire and rage. I'm going to make her as frightening as possible. So it actually pleases me to see that I can create a female that could legitimately cause people to cower when they see me.

But knowing there's the option to make her a badass and not traditionally pretty and still look well normal is nice.
I guess I can kinda see female in the eyes, cheeks, and lips. Probably just the really short hair, jawline, and shoulders throwing me off. It's not the greatest picture quality in the world, so we'll find out either way tomorrow.
Really? The shoulders and short hair I can see but the jawline and the cheekbones together are mainly what make me think it's a woman.
But yeah picture quality makes it hard to tell. And the shoulders could just be the bulky shoulderpads of the outfit throwing off to make them look larger than they are.

When I roll a female Elf I'm looking forward to putting a lot of effort into making her as attractive as possible. Considering there's a billion face possibilities somewhere in there should be a face that will take my breath away every time I start up the game.
I said before that if female Qunari are just well-toned human women with horns and gray skin, I would be disappointed. Maybe some people want a traditionally "pretty" Qunari female, but I'm happy if we're able to just have "different." Think outside the human box a bit, willya. Make her pretty for the world she lives in and the race she is, not for your own sensibilities.

I don't think so. I think they may just be using the same armor set for both genders, which I don't think is uncommon for demoing purposes.

When they mentioned all the different face variations I immediately thought of hair. Can they really have 16 million different face variations but the same shitty hair styles? I hope not. I've rolled over 20 female characters between DA 1 and 2 but I've only used 2 hair styles for females. Very irritating.

Her features, what little I can see of them, remind me of the concept art from way back. The one that had both genders of all the races.
