So, in the trailers Leliana was being seemingly tortured, and also being all kinds of awesome with a fight sequence.

 

She gets freed during your rescue and decides to get some revenge on whoever that was torturing her? Hence the option to talk her out of probably killing him.

this has been my internal debate for a while and i think I'm just going to have to run two concurrent games. (At least at first. Until I end up more engrossed in one's story)

Yeah, I'm kinda surprised we don't even have a hint as to Scribbles name yet...

So, judging by the fact that it's potentially the Red Templar's that have kidnapped/are torturing Leliana, I think they might have a bigger role in this then I first thought.

 

Admittedly I didn't think much of them at first until someone pointed out the Red Lyrium idol that drove Batrand and Meredith insane.

 

What if they're worshipers of this idol? Or even of Meredith?

 

They might have more to do with the rips then I first thought. (I mean, just LOOK at those... things Meredith did at the end of DA2)
