Can a Bioware person explain to me why she isn't called "La dame de fer" but a weird "Madame de fer" ?
Or would a forumite kindly ask that on twitter ? please ?
I think it's because Madame is the proper form of address for a Lady in Orlais.

Oh... I've never seen Joe's interviews. He does seem a bit spastic, I guess it might not suit an interview setting terribly well. Still want to see it, there might be a couple tidbits in there.
He's not the best interviewer, no and that's obvious. I don't expect him to be either, but what's best about those interviews is that he knows what he's asking and he asks what the "regular" interviewers never ask. I hope I can get some answers to my concerns through his interviews. I still want to see more dialogue, more about managing your army, keep, etc and less about combat. I do not want those things to end up being gimmicks such as they were in Mass Effect 3 whether that was through EMS, resources or some other nonsense.

Eeeh... Joe's reviews are a lot of fun, but he's a terrible interviewer. Constantly interrupts, yanks the mic away in the middle of the other guy's speech... it's just they're not that good.
Oh I always like to watch, and some of them are okay, though I do agree. But hey, he's relatively new to this stuff, and just a regular gamer like everybody else. I'm really appreciative of all the hard work he does for his viewers.

Oh that's why I was so excited about the interview. He always makes some very good points about games (through all the shouting) I figured he'd have some good questions. I'm happy to hear that that's usually the case.

Well if it turns into one of those things like when you had to pick sides between Jack and Miranda, I can tell you, I won't be siding with the lady who puts people down for daring to being a lower station in the aristocracy of Orlais.

Madame is "lady" or "my lady" in French. Technically it's also used as "Mrs." too.
However in this context it's clearly the former.

Well then he better apologize and such or else.

(No I am not one of those die-hard fans who will hate everyone who hates Leliana. That what I just posted above here was a joke

Madame is never used as a noun in French so Madame de Fer sounds really weird, no one would say that. It's as if you'd call her Mrs. Iron. Margaret Thatcher was called la dame de Fer. I believe they didn't check or something because it really doesn't sound right.

Same here. I want to play with spiders! Is there a list I can bribe my way onto?
No, I'm just having flashbacks to playtesting the Mage origin in DA:O, and helping out Senior Enchanter Leorah:
Did you know that Leorah was Mary's character in WoW?

Thedas is not the real world.
In World of Thedas is says that the formal way of addressing a noble with the "lady" rank is Madame in Orlais. It's used as a noun in the the game setting. Lady of the Lake would be Madame du Lac in Orlais.
