Don't mind me, I just like comparing things...its a curse.    If there was an Anders in DA A it would have likely been Rhys anyways.  I saw a lot in common between the two of them.

I agree but I think A. they are going with a much more mysterious vibe with the Inquisitor that yes you are there but...you know little about yourself.  I would not be the least bit surprised if the Inquisitor has some sort of amnesia even for most of his/ her life events before the Breach occured.  So basically in this vein if you are just some random bloke traveling through this area, maybe NEAR the Temple but not actually attending the conference and then BAM it allows them to set up something a lot more vague, give people more time to set up their own backstories, head canons, etc.  B.  Especially since we know they are not getting an 'Origin story' in this so the game is going to begin right at the Breach.  Whether or not you are attending or not is the question but I do believe in my heart of hears that it makes a lot more sense for you just to be someone totally random.  Because I doubt a random Tal-vashoth or a Dalish Elf would have much interest in attending a peace conference...and then if they do there needs to be a specific reason in lore, and THAT would take away from people's role playing which tends to annoy.

But its for different reasons.  In KOTOR it was because BioWare was planning a big reveal on the idenitity of the player character in KOTOR, oh my gawd I'm Revan! But, at least in my theory, it will be more for gameplaying purposes so you can construct your own background....though now that I am typing and thinking amnesia sounds a little silly...forget I said anything.

 

Edit:  It would be closer to the plot point of Witcher 1 then KOTOR.

Just finished it actually.  And I know, and I agree.  Man did she go dark side in a hurry.  She was the Anders of the piece.  Well no that is kind of insulting Anders.  She is Anders without any of the charm.  It was a real shame too I kind of liked her at the start but then at the end...while I do not wish ill on anyone most of the time...well if I were Rhys I probably would have thrown her off the fortress.

She's nothing like Anders, for all of his faults Anders realized that what he was doing was wrong. He realized he was murdering innocent people, and he realized that he would need to face justice for what he did. He was trying to start a revolution that he believed needed to happen, but he never deluded himself about the terrible implications of his actions and took the blame solely for himself.

 

Adrian tipped the blame on to other people and remained smug about it.

I want the Inquisitor's background to be more than just, He was a noble or a mage of the circle and then bam, we make it up from there. I want more details to set the foundation of our character. Also, I think all the major Chantry and Magi players will be at the summit but let's hope we can go around talking to them before.

Unpopular opinion but YAY. As long as I don't ever have to deal with Evangline or Rhys and his manpain ever again. What a terribly annoying character, I'd take Adrian over him any time.

And I just really don't care about Fiona one way or the other.
