I do wonder how much, if any, control BioWare and the Dragon Age team has in terms of controlling their marketing. Or whether the marketing is just outsourced to EA at large.

Seems rather strange to me for BioWare to go to a big event like PAX East and not show anything when they have a game that (at last we knew) is presumably coming out in less than a year. I mean, they're not even teasing anything in an official way or anything.

If they're not unveiling it until E3 in June and they still plan on releasing it this year, I'll be kind of shocked. I guess they could do something in April- probably to coincide with whatever event Microsoft cooks up for their unveiling of their console.

Doubt it. DICE and EA seem to pushing hard at GDC with Battlefield 4's unveil. Don't think EA would want any other of their properties to steal any spotlight from BF4.

Also, I think Gaider is on a panel discussing Sexuality in Video Games at GDC.

Not that it is anywhere near impossible for Bioware to do more than one thing at one con, but I just would assume that if Bioware were doing anything larger than that, they would have announced it a lot earlier by now.

Hmmm. That could have some interesting implications if they did announce at Micorsoft's convention. Specifically in regards to if it will be next gen only, or of there will be exclusive deals for XBox players.

ok now for the real deal if they think they are not ready for a release in fall of 2013 who are we to judge them but for the love of the maker give us some info any info!!!! i would have been happy if they showed a God damn picture of a barrel that is in the game it didn't even have to be in color  to be honest it can be a picture of a chair they sit in while they are working on the game rly anything at all ......

You know, from this tweet, I really get the distinct feeling that Mark would indeed like to show Sumthing from DA3.

It's in the "Hmm" part of the tweet. I get the feeling he's not completely happy w/them showing a friggin' DA2 cg trailer at this new PAX.  I think he's being genuine when he says "We need to show sum DA3 stuff.

I'm going to guess that whenever they do show the game, any footage is going to be from the PC/PS4/nextgen version. If I were on currentgen consoles for any of these upcoming cross generational games like BF4 or (likely) DA3, I'd be pretty wary of them looking pretty bad and performing bad in comparison.

Yeah, good question. PAX always seems like more of a fan oriented expo than more press oriented ones like E3 but especially when BioWare and EA in general could use some more fan goodwill, why not surprise unveil a trailer or something for DA3 during PAX with a tease for a full unveil at some future date, like MS's conference or E3 or something?

I'm usually not a fan of teaser trailers but if they're going to end up unveiling DA3 in the next couple of months anyway, not even teasing it at PAX in some official capacity seems like a huge waste.

I understand they seemingly only want to show DA3 when its good and ready to show legit gameplay and so forth, but going to PAX with nothing to show or even tease seems very odd. Sure, they can go to interact with fans and prove to everyone that BioWare exists, but to be so tight lipped on DA3 at this stage in the game seems bizarre.

Unless of course the game isn't coming out this year and its been pushed to 2014. Then their silence makes a good deal more sense.
