That's what I was saying. I' ma little concerned it's about homosexuality.
WHAT?

After the backlash about homosexuality in marketing with me1 and me3, advertising an interview which explicitly states one character is gay could get them some horrible backlash and ridiculous concern from stupid people.
Yeah, it was just a different format. It was more of an article format, instead of a Q&A.

Can we send Sera to live in the alienage in 'knee....deep....mud'?

They seem to be making up the marketing stuff as they go along. (Remember Follower Friday?)

That's what I was saying. I'm a little concerned the reason behind that is about his homosexuality.
If by tomorrow they still haven't posted it, then I'll make a thread, because that's just ridiculous.
But they did it with Sera, who is a lesbian. I think they just don't have it done yet.
"He unleashes his full power when it's needed… and he has plenty to unleash." Meet Dorian: http://bit.ly/UR10Z7

I ask, and Elu delivers. ![]()
yar they also posted it on facebook
Sera wasn't mentioned as being a lesbian in her interview, though.
Yea, it was just over tweets.

I have so much love for @davidgaider right now. I hope he feels it.
Here I thought it was just hot outside. ![]()

So I posted that little homage on Tumblr and @davidgaider replied. How about that. Incidentally, now going to quit the internet forever.
It just came in on the Dragon Age tag, which I was browsing. Made me 'aww, shucks'. ![]()

Yes but in the case of Sera it didnt state she was gay in the interview did it? Ack maybe it did, my memory's been a mush recently.
Anyway it doesn't matter as the interview is on facebook now ![]()

No it did not. Sera being a lesbian was technically announced in an episode of Heroes of Cosplay and then confirmed by devs over tweets. ^^

Sorry to extend the topic but I think Gaider may have mentioned Dorian's homosexuality to show how he is against some tevinter ideals. I remember the codex mentioning that it is frowned upon beyond slaves in tevinter. I don't know Gaider so I could be wrong.

There's a whole discussion explaining it here: http://forum.bioware...oo-in-tevinter/
I think this is one of those rare moments where David Gaider was saying something in public that wasn't sassy or sarcastic. His sexuality isn't something he talks about often (and why should he?), and you can tell (reading the interview and his latest few tweets) that he really feels personally and strongly about this character (and what he stands for), and is quite happy with the results.
He doesn't normally wear his heart on his sleeve (at least, not to the public). It feels like we (as fans) got a bit of a more intimate connection with him, however brief. I think it's sweet, and hope that he doesn't let the crazy tumblr crowd distract him from something he should be proud of.
You go, DG! You have plenty of fans. Don't let the vocal minority get you down. You did something awesome, and should feel awesome.

@davidgaider 'fully gay'? i didn't realize bisexual people apparently just didn't level up yet. :/ why must you guys always be biphobic.
(user) I meant "legitimately", sorry. I was trying to be clear--many people consider the bi characters we've done to be "gay".

Sensitive, aren't we.
Back from work, found these jewels.
By the gods, yes, an explanation for Sera's haircut.
As someone who is bisexual I don't understand why people are complaining to be honest. He's not saying anything against being bisexual, he's just saying that this is the first character that is exclusively gay.User

From what I understand the concept that bisexuality isn't a real thing, or is often erased, or is seen as being greedy or just the lack of a choice being made, is not uncommon.
I'll admit it seems extreme to me as well, but I also am not subjected to the judgment and can't say if I would or wouldn't respond in kind if I had to endure similar comments the entirety of my life.
Hopefully David's clarification helped.
When was Bioware biphobic
?
I think it has something to do with the playersexual/bisexual companions of DAII and that whole matter as well as how they said companions this time around are more believable or have strict sexualities.
