I know, that's just that he "looks" more like a Latino guy than an Indian one to me. His skin seems a bit too "fair" to feel Indian like. And since Tevinter is side to side with Antiva, i thought i was one the right track (and the conquistador mustachio did the rest

And there is indeed no French in Thedas. The awfull Orlesian accent is nothing near french (only Lelianna's one is).
He looks fairly North Indian, or maybe Persian (y'know, like Freddie Mercury).
Having an aesthetic preference is hardly the same as "fetishizing" anyone. I myself find pale skin tones very attractive. It isn't a racial thing, just what I happen to find physically attractive

Generally when talking romantic Interest people judge based on looks first and then determine if that's a person they want to get to know better. And people's choices in looks will vary subconsciously depending on what type of relationship they want, potentially also socioeconomic standing, and of course ingrained cultural preferences ....example One night stands (masculine guy) vs stable long term relationship (baby faced guy).....there are a number of studies out there. Everybody has subconscious (sometimes not even subconscious) standards that they judge and categorize people by. I'd like to think I don't bother judging people based just on looks....but also take personality into account.....but I know that's not always true.I don't know... using skin tone as measure for attractiveness seems wrong to me. That's devoted fans for you, I guess. If they have any hint at the character, they dig everything up (hell, it's not like BioWare should be better at hiding its secrets than USG, no?). On the other hand, with Scribbles fans have nothing to go on and are still at a loss.

I know you could spec rogues to be pretty handy, but near useless in a fight in DA:O (I know this because that's how I specced my rogue). With all these new exploration abilities I wonder if it'll be possible to make an entire team of character with really handy abilities that can't hold up in a fight.
I once played a Tabletop RPG in which one player specced themselves terribly for combat, but they could find north. Most useful character in that entire game.

Honestly, I always spec my tabeltop characters for out-of-combat usefulness. Think about it: How many times, in the real world, do you solve your problems with battle?

Modding favorite characters' appearance may be judged fair. But I hate it when people mod characters without even fully understanding characters' role or background.
Just recent posts by some people irritated me. For example: "Eww. That Vivienne is awful. I will correct her with skin mods". In these cases, I almost hope mods never to be supported/compactible with the game.

How is Zevran latino? Antiva is based off of Italy and I know they have Spanish accents but wouldn't that make him white still?
