Cullen's low poly fur coat doesn't look great.

I have to agree.
Are we thinking Cullen's char writer interview will land today?

Concessions to last-gen.
Morrigan's feathers look better. I even prefer the champion robes fur.
That looks like an asset taken from the original Unreal Tournament.

It seems like a safe bet. They generally don't do stuff on Sundays, so hopefully Cullen today and Scribbles on Monday. That's what the Scribblers hope for anyway.

I hope they break their 'usual' and give it on Sunday, simply because her fans have waited so long for simply her name.
Edited to add: It's kind of funny that when they do announce her, nobody will know who they're talking about if they use her real name instead of Scribbles.
And I think Cullen looks terrific. I wish I could hug all the artists for the wonderful job on all of the characters so far.
Yup. I really hope it looks better in October.
I have to agree.

Last night I got drunk. This morning I ate cake for breakfast. Just had first day back at gym in 3 weeks. Body in PAIN. Feeling smug tho ;p
I knew without looking that she was under 30. Over 30 and you can't get away with that. ![]()
Hee! Here you have, in a nutshell, one of many reasons we've never used the "blood torrent" spell effect again. http://awkwardzombie.com/index.php?comic=012411 …
This is my Dragon Age Inquisition Cover. What do you think?
When did Morrigan become a Matriarch?

Perhaps a silly question to ask, but is Dorian named/based off Oscar Wilde's Dorian Gray?
Nope. Prince Dorian from the old Hercules cartoon. At least, that's where the name came from.
Now I wish they had named him Newton.
Seriously? Are we really judging an unreleased game on posted screenshots and graphics rather than story and content?
I know everyone's as excited as I am for release, but, if the graphics are decent, and the story is awesome, that's enough for me. I'm not looking at how an NPC's shoulder looks in armour, or whether their hair blows in the wind. I just want a story that will engulf me, and make me remember it for a long time after I put it down.

Graphics don't make a game. I mean I think those feathers look like crap, but I don't care.
I could name many games that have amazing 'next gen graphics (for their time)' but have sucked.
Surely it'll look better in motion, correct? It'll be harder to notice.
While I do think that the looks are important (for me it has more to do with animation and art design than "graphics," but I digress), it's not fair to judge on alpha footage.
There's also likely different versions of models for different purposes (higher-poly for close-ups, for example). Considering this is still supposed to be alpha footage, I don't think it would be a stretch to assume that they used the model (or part of a model) that was currently most presentable to show us, which happened to be lower-poly. Probably, the furry bit just isn't finished.
EDIT: Fixed redundant sentence.
Still, it's nice that it does. Sure, the story is paramount for a Bioware game, and graphics are not be-all end-all, but it's good to have an eye candy, too. And those pauldrons look kinda like placeholders (hopefully), especially given high quality of the rest of the model. It does hinder overall experience, if only a little.I'm not looking at how an NPC's shoulder looks in armour, or whether their hair blows in the wind.
There's a Cullen thread. Take it there.
