I know it is Bioware's prerogative to tease us with random tweets/quotes that really have no substance otherwise but it would be nice if they actually backed up some of these "the game looks great" comments with actually images of what the game looks like. The whole saying of "show not tell" popularized in the beginning, after the announcement of DA3 in production, is certainly not being adhered to. They are telling a lot of random nonsense of course but for the few moments where they share with us something interesting, they should SHOW proof of it not just tell us how it will look. I think it would have been better if they just waited to announce the game until they actually have something to SHOW us. So no DA3 forum, etc. I would be fine with that. Then I wouldn't expect anything. Because other than building up hype on the BSN, they are not marketing it to the mainstream gamer in any way yet.

I really enjoyed DA2 and ME3 and look forward to DA3. I just wish Bioware would stop teasing and get on with it.

I know it's annoying to wait ,obsessedwjpn...

But people from the DA team who tweet can't reveal anything.They probably get in trouble if they show a picture ....
They're just trying to keep in touch with the community.

I think most of these guys/women ain't involved in marketing ...they're not the one who decide when to reveal stuff.
You can't blame them for being excited to work on something they like .

Oh, I am happy they are very excited to work on DA3. I know David mentioned it, as well as Allan, that the devs themselves are anxious to reveal new information. So I don't think badly of Bioware, just don't exactly understand what the marketing team/people involved with such things are doing. It is a bit weird.

I support DA3 completely and want it to do well. I just wish we could see some of the improvements rather than just hear about them.

If people are that bothered by the teasing, why not just take a break from the forums. Come back once a week until the reveal happens. No one making anyone come to these forums. I wonder if the newest Dragon Age novel The Masked Empire will affect the release of DA3 at all. Sounds like the story will happen before DA3/during it and it won't be released until April 2014. So my guess is that DA3 will be released after this.

Me neither.
And wouldn't it make more sense to release the game and hope it'll get people interested in the novel than the other way round? Considering that the youth nowadays doesn't seem so keen on reading anymore...

After, apparently.

Maybe this new novel will serve as a way for us to gain a new perspective on characters (like Anora) that we may dislike or not have much of an opinion on in DA3, kinda like how The Stolen throne gave us a better insight into Loghain. In which case, they'd probably release DA3 first so we can form our inital opinions of them in-game, only to possibly have them changed later via the book.

Stolen Throne was released prior to Origins and The Calling was released prior to Awakening.

When I saw the announcement for DA: The Masked Empire I at first read the release as April 2013 and was , and then re-read it and saw 2014.  Now I am .

I read it as DA:I reveal date a tiny part of my soul died the instance I re-read it
