LOL  Makes me feel better. Also I'm not the only one who is still bummed out about the Exalted March I want to know what happens to Hawke dammit and my Warden of course!

World of Thedas wasn't pushed back to far, the shipping dates was what got pushed back, but they haven't even been pushed back that far. As for DA: The Masked Empire, I doubt its date has anything to do with DA3's release date, as far as rumors go and what the devs had said they're still pushing for a 2013 release. I could be wrong though, I have a habit of being optimistic.

I'm not counting on a 2013 release. David Gaider keeps saying that the Fall/Holiday 2013 window shouldn't be brought up, even though Laidlaw and Darrah are still using it. And the book that's set just before and during the events of the game coming out 5 months after the game makes no sense. Asunder was supposed to accompany the Exalted March expansion so the books have all released before/alongside game content.
I wouldn't expect the game to be released before April/May 2014.

I still think the real release date for "The masked empire" is going to be July 2nd 2013. It makes more sense, since I could see it setting the stage for DAI, due to come out some months later, and it's rather strange that they would reveal a book one year before it's published.

July 2nd is so specific. Not sure how you arrived at that date.
But the book releasing a year from now makes perfect sense if that's about when the game is launching.

July 2nd is listed in Barnes and noble, which also accepts pre-orders already. Since it's not been clarified by anyone who holds authority in this matter, mine is still a hopeful guess.

True. If we don't hear anything at E3 then I'd say it'll most definitely be a 2014 release.

Some of it is supposed to be carried over to DA3, but I'm not sure how much....

It certainly does. I'm just sad that I'll probably only be able to run DA III on very low settings, if at all

However, I agree with "Cirram55" that this seems weird.  The novel sounds like a prequel to DA:Inquisition, so why release it after the game?  I would assume the Orlesian civil war and Empress Celene's fate would be decided by the events of DA:I.  Maker preserve us if that somehow means the game won't be released until after April 2014!
