There are people that are actually doing that with their DA fan art?

Ugh, my brain hurts. I guess the words "copyright infringement" never crossed their minds.
Sad panda.
Again.

Jennifer Hale has a decent range so good news.

No because in their minds, they drew it so its theirs
Bad day...NO Scribbles and no invite

I'm a sad panda about the invites. ![]()

I would like this.
I really would.
Don't count on it since they would be associated with Shepard and Laidlaw confirmed the AMERICAN VAs would be Midwestern accents.
User@HulegaardBooks So, is Scribbles going to be revealed today? AKA Scribe Girl, AKA The Girl With The Quill?
not today. Soooooon.

No because in their minds, they drew it so its theirs
If someone draws something, it IS theirs. They just can't make a profit off of a fanwork or claim character/elements as their own. If you imply that an artist creating something does not own their creation, you need to re-think your perspective.
That and there's a huge grey area about taking requests/commissions and promoting the brand through their love of it, etc etc. Look at Aimo for instance.
Meanwhile: Hanging out for Scribbles..! ![]()
Considering DA:I is in Alpha I think it's quite possible Jennifer Hale's doing VA work for some DLC.
And about the art stuff sad people need to be told that, if you use something that is copy righted you don't try to make a profit of your own.
I suppose that would make sense, though I wouldn't rule out some last minute recordings.Considering DA:I is in Alpha I think it's quite possible Jennifer Hale's doing VA work for some DLC.

Or some additionel voice work of things to fill place holders for npcs and so on.

I'm not sure if you're being serious or not, but the "Midwestern" accent refers to your the regionally non-specific English accent you typically hear people using on television and film and radio and so forth. The accents Hale and Meer use to deliver their lines in the Mass Effect would qualify as a Midwestern accent.
And I highly doubt Mike meant to actually delineate the nationality of the VAs. Of course, even if he was making a direct reference to their country of origin, America comprises two continents, not one country. An Argentinian is technically an American.

No, he did say American. Also, Meer has a Canadian accent, while being similar to the US it does have some differences and no it's not Midwestern US accent. Hale would count but I doubt they do her again. An the United States people are commonly refer to as an Americans, so why would Mike mean Argentinean? He would of instead said Latino.
I wouldn't, not as the protagonist. I'd rather see someone new. They're too associated with ME.
Only to those who play all BioWare games ![]()
New players wouldn't care or even notice and if they did, they would chalk it up to something "cool".
Both VAs are good enough to deliver different tonalities so it wouldn't sound like their Shepard voices. However, I don't actually believe they will be voicing them.
I just liked the idea.

I think it would best for Bioware to give new talent a chance. I like the too, but give someone else a turn at being the protagonist.

Their voices would probably stick out for 20minutes before I became habituated to them.
But I'd be surprised if Hale or Meer are voicing the Inquisitor.

I think that's hardly illegal since they drew it.

What.
Um.. Even if they drew it, that still doesn't allow them to sell it commercially because those characters & ideas are owned by Bioware anyway. You can draw or recreate as long as you don't sell it (some companies like Disney go all the way and don't even allow their fans to create fanarts AT ALL).
