Jennifer Hale is doing VA work for DAI!

I hope it's not as the North American Inquisitor voice after Bastilla, Shepard, BH AND trooper in SWtOR (as well as Master Satele Shan) I am sick of her as a BW main character. The only one who would be worse imo is Laura Bailey because she's in everything and neither of them make an effort to change their voice.

Hale wasn't the female Bounty Hunter, that was Grey DeLisle. And Hale has a pretty good range on her, (see her as Cinderella in a number of Disney direct to DVDs) Bioware just tends to use her "badass" voice a lot.

I don't think she did any voices for the old republic(mmo), but did one for rise of the hutt cartel one of the female troopers.

No she's DEFINITELY the Female Trooper pc (which I was a big fan of, personally) and she does also play Satele Shan, as well as numerous other small parts.

Never would have placed her has the  grand master of the jedi order.. That diffently is good range since the republic trooper and the master sound nothing alike.

Perhaps it is only me, but it saddens me a little that Jennifer Hale is not a gamer. Then again, maybe she has not encountered a great PnP event, or something like TableTop. Convention nerds; you have work to do!

That is sad, she has a lot of voice overs for video games it seems.

Well Shepard is back as the spirit within the Inquisitor so its only natural.

I don't see how immersion would suffer. Hale's voice isn't an internal inconsistency within the world or lore, so if your immersion is broken by it that's nobody's fault but your own.

Really? I had her pegged as soon as she opened her mouth.

 

Of all her roles I've heard, the only one I can honestly say I didn't automatically think was Jennifer Hale was Rosalind Letuce from Bioshock Infinite. Not to say she isn't talented, of course. But she has a very recognisable voice.

 

I wouldn't mind her in an NPC role. Just not another protagonist please. Same with Mark Meer, of whom I'm a massive fan. We've just had a BioWare trilogy in which they were protagonist. Let's allow some others to shine.

I can see that about Traynor's VA, but FPJ sounds nothing like Vega this time around.  That should help.

Every piece of fan art and fan fiction is a potential copyright violation, but the only person who can decide if it's a violation or not is the copyright holder.

If I draw a picture of Morrigan, BioWare has every right to sue me for doing so. Most entertainment companies choose not to do so because it's costly, time-consuming, and often angers the fan base.

When it comes to copyright, what's illegal is whatever the holder decides they won't allow. (Other than things like parody or other types of fair use.)
