+1.
Seriously.
It's clearly fake even if it wasn't April Fools. Todays date only further proves how fake it is, yet people are still discussing it..

Here's to hope late northern spring as an info release date won't be turned into a Westerosian one, otherwise I'll repeat "Spring is coming" in a grim voice to myself over and over.
Also, a question, don't know if it got answered so bear with me please. Did we get a confirmation on the release date being in 2014 yet? And however innocent a question that may be I'm still happy to not have to expect Mr Gaider swoop down upon me. Given that the new book is essential to events in Thedas and get released in 2014.
I'd ever so ship Man/Nug. There's probably already a tumblr for that, though.

HUD from DA II? Ah yes.

Cassandra a mage? LOL!
This is fake.
And This is Old Tevinter Temple:
Strange "concept art", it fit with the other "DAIII" concept art shown previously though . Sort of a mix between real life pictures and 2D additions. Is it "new", because I don't remember seeing it and I've been looking at the dragon-age.pl world of thedas album all weekend.
Also, that Tevinter "temple" is under siege. It could be Andoral's Reach, but that would mean it's a fortress and not a temple...

Why do the majority of people think that the game will be released to 2014 if the devs said the target is fall 2013.People are so pessimistic these days.
There are a lot of resaons to think that. Pessimism doesn't have to be one of them.
-The novel that is set just prior to the events of the game isn't coming out until 2014
-The game still hasn't been unveiled and that's quite unlike BioWare/EA, waiting so long to collect pre-orders
-David Gaider is telling people to stop bringing up the Fall/Winter 2013 window
etc.

Because it's the safe bet. One is either proven right if the game indeed comes out in 2014, or they're pleasantly surprised if it comes out earlier. I prefer to be hopeful of a 2013 release date and risk possibly being disappointed.

It could be believed that they are at least in alpha (I believe it was Blair who said he had an Alpha copy of the game he was tweaking with), but what that actually means could be taken with a whole shaker full of salt.
I think the Holiday 2013 date was thrown out as a tentative but is now unlikely to really happen, for whatever reasons (I am not being doom and gloom, just seeing the landscape and don't think its going to happen for around another year). I think the reason the devs haven't changed the date is because they don't know the exact date when the game will actually come out. So, instead of guessing a date again that is later, they are going to keep saying "our stated goal is Holiday 2013" no matter what - even if they know that Holiday 2013 is not a possibility.
Just look at what happened when David Gaider said that the dominant tone is not going to be in DA3, but he didn't want to talk about any of the details about how the new system will work. People were weeping and gnashing teeth about it with absolutely zero frame of reference for what that change would entail.
If the devs came out and said "we no longer think we will hit the Holiday 2013 date and don't have a solid date for when the game will hit," people will FREAK OUT. Even though the Holiday 2013 date was thrown out before they even had completed the Frostbite migration, let alone started making serious content for the game in said new engine. It was a loose target date. So changing it should not be a big deal, since they did not know what kind of hurdles they would have to hit.
But people would READ IT as doom and gloom, that the game is in shambles, that Bioware has been intimidated by EA, or is running scared from CDProjekt, or any number of other crazy things.
So they will keep quiet, about the release and about anything else, maintain the current line about the release (since that is the best information they may even know at this point) and avoid all the crazy until they are closer to saying exactly when the game will be done. At which point they can deal with all the crazy predictions and weeping and counter it with a reveal that will knock people's socks off.
Not believing that Bioware will meet the Holiday 2013 date does not mean I think DA3 will be a flop or that Bioware is "in trouble." It is just a full realiziaiton that the BSN loves to freak the F out when they get news. So you might as well keep with old news that you know is wrong rather than change it to new news that may be wrong later. Because the BSN can't be trusted to not freak out. So if you control the number of times you have to change things, you control the number of freak outs. Plain and simple.
