Since they said the race-gated romances were done out of story reasons I never thought dwarves were out of the question, since that would only be a matter of animation. The only race I feared would be left out were elves (due to fear of breaking them) but I still had a decent hope (which turned out true) that he would deem the Inquisitor sturdy enough even if an elf.
Well, think of it this way. Any poor sod that can walk out of the Fade is probably pretty damn sturdy. 
Not unexpected, but still - yes!
Now I just want to know if I can get my some Blackwall and/or Solas. I know getting both are unlikely due to a 5/3 gender balance probably being out of the question, but I want both Dat Solass and His Bearded Greatness.
Well a few months ago I would have said that a 9:3 gender ratio would likely be out of the question so don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Story reasons to me sounds like Varric only being attracted to Dwarves, and Vivienne being too "elitist" to mingle with the lesser races. I expect both to be straight which plays to my characters.

A women/crossbow that the devs keep telling us he probably "loves too much" to let go; one he hasn't seen in at least 11 or so years outside of a Fade nightmare? Trust me, the Varricmancers would almost rather forget. 
We're more hopeful now than ever, but we still don't expect to get the romance we want.
