The guard on her inner arm is for archery (So the string doesn't peel her skin off when she releases it). I'm not sure of finger gloves though.

I know. I recall that I talked with LPPrince in the Discover the DA thread about it, and he said the glove was related as well. Maybe I'm misrecalling.

I guess it's more comfortable than a bow string against skin and without the loss of sensitivity that you'd get with a full glove.

Yep, that's it. A Google image search of "archery glove" turns up a lot of similar gloves.

Gloves are practical

 

What little practicality her outfit has is the result more of annoyance than of planning. When hair got in her eyes, she hacked it off with a knife, and when arrows stung her fingers, she found a glove.
