I just like any tiny crumb of info so i can continue charging along merrily on my own personal hype train. It helps the days go quicker until release

You're not alone. A lot of people seem like they want to know everything they possibly can before they even start the game, so their playthrough is the "right" one. It's not something I'll personally ever understand, as it seems to me like people want to play the game before they play it, but it's a desire the team is well aware of and I really doubt you won't eventually learn who all the romanceable characters are and who they will/wont romance prior to release.

It's kinda fun too though, plus (at least me personally) get a joy out of being one of the first people who can update the wiki with new info.

It's just not an experience I'm used to. I'm the type of person who has their pokemon team planned out before they start playing, but I got pokemon X on release day. I cried so hard because for the first time ever I had to put Pokemon I had caught into the PC, it was horrible.

I'm slowly starting to get myself to accept that screwing up is alright in video games, my subsequent playthroughs of Dragon Age and Mass Effect were purposefully much messier and more dramatic, but it's still a bit difficult sometimes.

But they are all so adorable in their own way D: and the PC is a safe comfortable little habitat for pokemans :D

But it seems so lonely in there! And I just want to feed them all pokepuffs and play games with them!

But maybe Jawzzus is right, I'm usually a marathoner so I'll probably finish the game before quite a few people. It'll be neat being able to help others out :P. And there's always save scumming.

It is I have been playing bioware games day one ever sense I could make money for myself and that was around the time Jade empire came out. Its fun to play the game without help then hop on help others and discuss what you liked and did not like about the games. I even enjoyed that with ME3 and I hated the original ending for my own reasons as a writer an not the closer part that most were but it was fun to see everyone's opinions :)

I can help explain some of this, some people want to plan their play through as they will most likely get one really solid from start to finish game, do to work or other obligations so they want to have a goal to reach before stopping for the day.

And then what stops someone who has all those obligations from playing the game after the actual release date so they can find all that important information on this forum and elsewhere on the Internet? They will have all pertinent information after release and can also, if they can, take some time off to play the game with all the knowledge available.

You can't play games at work and it is easier to find time to get on forums and post little things or look up stuff. A quick glance and planning so when they have time when they are home and no one or anyone to get in their way to play it.

Also they may want to play or read other games that they also have little time for. Not everyone has copious amounts of free time and have to plan it all out so they can enjoy it no matter how short or long it is.

So having all the information on hand from the start helps, it allows them to focus more on playing instead of pausing and taking them time durring their free time.

Spoilers actually make me want games more than like them less.

Same. Nothing pumped me up more for my first playthrough of Origins than the spoilers people plucked out of the character creator.

I think many folks like to avoid story spoilers. Waiting until release and checking online for that info will no doubt spoil big chunks of the story, even if you are trying to be careful to look for very specific information.

It's probably one reason people are so caught up with things like the romance and aren't asking much about the story itself. Romances are "safe" spoilers. I wouldn't mind knowing who the last two love interests are, but I don't want to know what happens at various points of the story before I get to play to it myself.

EA has their quarterly investor conference call on the 22nd.

DA:I was mentioned briefly last time as one of their games that would release this quarter, and it's possible it might come up again, either in the prepared statements or in analysts' questions.

(They usually focus on the business side though, so it might be something about how successful they're expecting it to be.)

Maybe we should let the devs have a day or two off. I highly doubt they're going to be constantly tweeting about work when they're relaxing at home.

I highly doubt that a conference call for investors will be the place they'll reveal any new information about the game.

Can you imagine them revealing the last two LI's over a call with a bunch of stuffy old investors.   :P

"And we're happy announce that Vivienne will be available to bang everyone" oh god... that would be wonderful!

The first time i play an RPG (specially bioware rpgs) i like to find things by my self because i like to be surprised, i like the adventure of discovery.

It's funny because i have save games for both ME and DA that are "first playthrough saves" with a lot of "bad or wrong" decisions, i always use these on the first time around in a new installment of the series. The "perfect saves" i only use (and only make) them when all DLCs are released and i know exactly what i want and how to do it.

But i do understand people that like to know these things.

Games that are very focused on builds, it sucks to realise in the middle of the game that you f*** up everything and needs to start over.
Others simply don't have the time to do multiples replays on a game and they want to get it "right" on the first time because it can be frustrating to pursue something that goes nowhere in the end and then feel unmotivated to go on  or, again, time wasted.

I'm preparing myself to get most of my team killed and stuck in some Orzammar-esque-way-beyond-my-level region in my first playthrough.
