"From Mark Darrah, Executive Producer of Dragon Age: Inquisition

I’m writing to let you know that Dragon Age: Inquisition has a new release date of November 18, 2014 in North America (November 21st in EU). We appreciate the enormous support we’ve received from all of you to get to this point, and while this extra few weeks may not seem like a lot, I know the game you’ll play will be all the better for it."

I appreciate the candor, and although I'm a bit sad that it's been pushed, if it makes for a better experience I'm all for it.
That said I hope that is enough time and they don't need to push it any further. I would hate another push, rather give themselves the cushion they need from the assessment.

This... late delay is somewhat troubling.  I'd hope this isn't because they discovered some large problem they need to work around.  Hopefully they're just giving themselves breathing room (Or possibly this is entirely a publisher/marketing decision that has nothing to do with development)

Well, I'm going to be cut off from my video games until late December anyway, so no skin off my bones (And less time for me to give in to temptation and spoil myself)

Hopefully the delay is just because they need more time to fix and polish the game up. If that is the case I am fine with it.

Thats what the thing says, is they are using this time to make more polish and bug fixes..which makes me wonder if they ran into bugs that are a lot worse then they initially thought.  Especially since Mr. Epler keeps live tweeting his bug fixes and they seem to be getting worse.

It sucks for people who've scheduled the time off due to them saying previously that this date was set and it wouldn't change again..

I'm okay with this. Sure, it's a few extra weeks, but if the result is a more polished game, they can take all the time they need. They probably looked at their schedule and realised that it would be best to have a few extra weeks of polish time. Good that EA was okay with it. The last thing we (and I imagine they, after the Battlefield debacle) want is a game pushed out of the door before it's ready.

Well, even though that's sad I am really glad they won't rush things. The more time they have, the better the game will be. I will rather wait a few weeks more than seeing people everywhere complaining about bugs and saying awful things to the developers (who are stressed more than enough). I think we can all agree that deadlines are evil.

I think they should announce the last two romances to take the sting out :)

I'd be lying if I said this doesn't sting a bit. I get why they're doing it, but I feel like this entire year has been giant pockets of disappointment in regards to this game via marketing and push backs.

I'd rather they were happy with a finished game than rushing to meet the October deadline.

I can wait a few more days.

Well i wont lie that i am really impatient to get my claws on DA:I, i dont mind the delay at all.

I would much rather prefer the bioware team not to work themselves into the floor trying to finish it and for the game to be as fabulous as they want it to be :D

I just hope they have more juicy tidbits of info to tide over the wait ;)

Also gives me more time to put cash aside to buy the edition i want!

I am sad.

But I'm sure they wouldn't delay without good reason.

We'll be shipping Dragon Age: Inquisition on November 18, 2014. It's the best way to deliver the best game - http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_US/news/dragon-age-inquisition-update

Ah well.

I was excited that we had a couple more months left till the game was in our hands.

A couple more weeks should fix the bugs and other stuff they need to polish.

I hope I can remain sane till then

I'm not sure I see this as a positive, like it'll just be extra time they need to polish the game, to me this seems like they're going to have to start axing things at the last second because they can't get ready in time.

I'm glad October is no longer a massive cluster**** of games. I can enjoy Alien Isolation and then Dragon Age the following month. Of course, a November release date puts it withiin firing distance of Call of Duty, but you win some, you lose some.

*in Darth Vader's voice*: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyhow, I'm kinda relieved actually. October is packed with big games, don't wanna squeeze DA:I into that mix. Plus Nov 18 is closer to holidays so I will have more free time to play. That is, of course, if this wait still hasn't driven me insane at that point....

You know they did, Since DAI took 20 awards already, any delay makes other games coming out in October that much happier

Well, this certainly hurts and is sad.

BUT I'm all for them having the time they need to fix and polish stuff.

This will give me a little more time with Destiny, too.

I... just need to go look at the work vacation calendar now and see if I can change those vacation days over to the new release time period.  :crying:
