They're saving their next set of big reveals for Gamescom, which is only a couple weeks away and is more video game focused than SDCC.

I'm honestly not surprised. E3 may have been publicized online by journalists but Comic Con is an opportunity for fans to see it in person. I didn't expect them to be dropping any bombs for this show. I do however expect them to show some new stuff at Gamescom and PAX.

It is a huge convention, but it's also not really video game focused. There's been tons of new trailers and announcements about comic books and TV. I can't even remember a time any video game company used a ComicCon for anything other than demos and press. New info will come soon, I believe the Dev's implied something big was happening at Gamescom (might not be DA related though), which is happening mid-August, I think.

Oh hey its the ballroom ceiling they told us to be sure to look at when we get to the Winter Palace!
I wonder if that landscape scene below Celene's portrait(/the TME cover) is supposed to be the bridges in Val Royeuax? It had rivers flowing thru parts or the city of something, right? I remember Briala having cross bridges or something to get from one part of the city to another.

Whoever it is, I think its the same portrait as behind Leliana in this shot:

She's in both the Palace ballroom and the chapelish looking place so... maybe an old Empress of Orlais? Perhaps a holy one, hence her presence in both places? Orlais is a french analog, so it wouldn't surprise me if they had the Andrastian equivalent of a canonized saint for a monarch at some point. France did with King Loius IX. Before this I'd say that spot would likely go to Emporer Drakon first and foremost, if anyone, but that portrait definitely looks like a woman to me, so...
My second guess is it's Vivienne. It has her hat preferences and we all know the Vivienne Rule about DA:I media exposure. Namely, it better include her or she sets someone's hair on fire.

Celene's mother was not Empress, her uncle Florian was the Emperor before her, and Aveline never became an Empress either, she was just knighted posthumously by Emperor Freyan.

Good evening! Apologies as this isn't really Twitter-related, but since some folks are asking: I attended the last G&S demo and panel this afternoon, and can confirm no brand new information was given. The demo was the same scenes from E3 (run by Hilary Shapiro and Jessica Merizan, both wonderful!), and the q&a afterward was (paraphrased, as best I recall):
-Describe mud / blood / terrain physics? When wading through mud, or across a bloody battlefield, you'll see it on your legs, and running through mud can affect your movement.
-Game imports will be going through the Keep; from what I understand, it sounds like it will possibly be able to recognize your DA saves on PC and load them into the Keep, as well.
-Tactical cam is for consoles as well as PC.
-There were a couple general questions on companions and advisors; the gist is that new characters and returning ones alike were developed with an eye to making it feel they have a life of their own-- e.g., Josephine is carrying on with her own life and interests, "getting up and having breakfast" even if you aren't there to see it. This also may involve relationships between characters, good, bad, and possibly romantic. Returning characters were pulled in because they have a stake and arc in the story, not simply to show up and wave hello. Basically, no gratuitous cameos for familiar faces, and non-static, living personalities for all-- it sounds great.
-Banter began as a means of filling loading screens, the "time between content"-- it has definitely found a place now as content in its own right. There will be banter, oh, yes. Interjections by the Inquisitor also available on occasion.
-A question if the PC version of the game was optimized for the Mantle API was met with a "we can't say", followed by Jessica Merizan saying they are running it on (I thiiiink) an AMD R9 290x GPU, but it would run well on other cards, too (and consoles).
-Last question was whether the Hard and Nightmare difficulties would be less difficult than the DA2 versions. The reply was they do their best to scale reasonably, so that succeeding in a rough fight makes you feel good and clever, and not furious with the game. That said, Nightmare is returning, and is self-descriptive.
I hope this helps a little-- as a disclaimer, I didn't take notes, so this is just what I remember-- my apologies if I misstated anything! There was definitely a professional camera set up in front, so I would be surprised if it didn't turn up online later. (Also: the cosplay was SO GOOD! The pictures can't do it justice, all the folks in costume were terrific!)
