That's so damn weird. Fire and Ice Magic have NEVER been split up, and they sure as hell have never had an entire tree to each element. And where in the world are the lightning spells? The Earth spells?

There better be Earth spells. My plan for my Dalish Mage requires Earth spells.

Discipline looks like ice magic
Discord looks like fire magic
Are these Trees those of the Player Character or of one of the Companions?
Beeecause if it's the latter, I could really imagine them to "unlock" new, more or less unique Skill Trees depending on whether you inspire "Discord" or "Discipline" in them...

We've seen Stonefist multiple times, so there has to be some earth magic.

How I see it, Earth and Ice, elements associated with stasis, and by extension Discipline fall into the Discipline tree. Ice and Lightning are elements of volatility and thus would fit in with Discord. Though I guess it probably makes more sense that every element has its own tree.
That's just my interpretation though. We know there's at least some Earth magic somewhere, as Stone fist is a staple.

Them being split up and doing more with each element actually makes me really happy!

Except, in the picture above, Discord looks like nearly all Fire magic, and Discipline looks like Ice with a few other weird ones in there.

There are two cards with green symbols.

I don't think it's wise to create character concepts that require specific spells and abilities.

Yeah, I see that now. I guess one must be "Primal" and the other is "Creation".

It was the only way I could make playing an Elf fun ever since I learned we're stuck being Dalish.

These are definitely not paragon\renegade trees. So far all character have four normal trees and one specialization tree.
Mage trees shown in the demo are Spirit, Entropy, Discord, Discipline, and knight enchanter.
Warrior trees are Sword and Shield, Two Hander, Battle Master, Vanguard, and Reever.
They did not scroll through all the rogue trees but you can see the symbol for all five.

Well the one with the armor has got to be earth.
The sunburst though, that could be a variant on lightning based spell tree. Maybe it's more of an "energy" thing now. Or maybe it's "light?"
*shrugs*
Personally I'm really stoked at being able to focus on the spells I feel fit my character's personality. Always wanted to do a flashy fire and lightning mage. ![]()

You can also see the journal , and The Iron Bull looking at Sera , and going all telephathy , and she nods...before the Bull says Sera and Him are going to defend the gate. It's super short but I don't remember this being in the demo before.

Let's hope they don't do that DA II thing where some mobs were almost completely immune to an element. I invested in the fire/ice tree and spirit healer, so I had a whopping two spells that did damage to the Arisok.

Already confirmed isn't that? The Venatori Spellbinder is Immune to Fire, and weak to Cold.
