To be fair, anyone's neck would look pretty long from the angle in that pic. Some of the worst giraffe neck in the games is a result of positioning/angles and also some animation weirdness where all the parts of the body that would move to pull your head in to a given alignment don't move on the model so you get . . . gumby neck.
But for the most part I agree with you that the necks are too dang long. But you gotta balance that against clipping issues, too. I can live with it. For the most part. 
He was branded with lyrium. I'd say that's as decent an explanation as you're going to get.

Making the Qunari romanceable contradicts DA lore. Did you guys deliberately make this change?
Bull being a possible romance does not invalidate the rest of the lore.
Elves are essentially pointy-eared waify humans.
It's like saying dwarves shouldn't be short hairy humans.
Frankly, their DA2 appearance made no sense considering they were supposedly "beautiful" by human standards, and they most certainly were not conventionally beautiful in DA2.
However, it seems they still have a long nose so they didn't completely do away with the DA2 look. They just reverted their eyes to be more human-like while keeping the "elven" irises and made their facial structure rounder. They look better.
Except that makes no sense. They aren't human and should look not human. I don't know where beautiful by human standards came from since the DAO ones weren't anything "special" in that sense and if that is some codex then retcon it to make more sense biologically.

Well . . . yes and no. From what I've seen physical trauma can cause swaths of hair to grow in silver--it's unlikely to cover the entire head, though, and certainly unlikely to be that uniform. Stress can age someone prematurely and it can show in a silvering of the hair--if they are genetically predisposed toward silver hair. But that, also, is unlikely to be uniform.

Humans who have high levels of silver in their bodies get bluish-gray skin and hair over time. Maybe lyrium, implaced as it was, has a similar effect.
