Interesting, we've never heard anything from the Canticle of Victoria before. Could it be a dissonant verse, I wonder?

I wonder if this is about Andraste?

"A sword to pierce the sun" is really strange...if you think the sun is a source of light , and is also close to fire.

Light and fire are both seen as really good thing in  Chantry lore.

I don't think we know all of the canonical Chants. I'd like to hear/read a few more of those before the game starts exploring the dissonants.

I don't know...possible.

In chantry symbolism I think , the sun is the faith (Chantry) the sword is the army (templars) and the eye may be the truth(seeker).The three together are the Inquisition.

 

It could mean she's taking arms in the name of her faith?

Just sounds a bit strange to me.

But it probably isn't.^^

Marketing has decided to keep the last two LI a secret in order to "retain mystery" and you can pop over to the Blackwall thread to see Sheryl's post saying that it will probably be kept a secret until the game is actually released.

 

I know some people come here hoping to hear about that, so, there yah go.

No worries! I didn't read it as grumpy. I understand that people are getting anxious about the last two LIs and getting more information in general and I was just hoping to temper expectations a little bit. Sometimes it seems that the lingering hope that you'll hear something soon ("Today? Maybe tomorrow? Oh god, I don't want to go to bed!") is what makes the wait especially painful. I figure, well, if you think it's not coming and allow your mind to move on to other things, and then something does get revealed, it'll be a happy surprise!

Well, that's kind of annoying. Intended romance interest is something I actually factor into character creation. And its especially important to know since there'll be racegated LIs.

 

Can we at least get clarification about the race-gatedness of the LIs? Is it just the two unrevealed love interests that are race-gate or is one/both of them already in the pool of revealed LIs? I'd want to know if Cullen is race-gated, specifically, for instance.

I wanted to go on blackout fairly soon to avoid learning too much about the plot, but I don't think I can go until they officially extinguish all hope of a Varric romance .
